I have nothing to do with the Rams, just curious as to why this person would be allowed to continue if he/she is driving kids away from the game.
He's been replaced for this season by KF. Great move on their part, but the situation surrounding that team was a s%*& show. Curious to see how they rebound.

KF is a good coach. I've seen his training sessions at WWIS and also seen his boys team play in tournaments. Well organized and they play hard.
As long as SR is associated with the RAMS, they will be a joke. His HS teams underperform each year and kids flat out don't want to play for him. He has a pipeline of talent come in every year and finds away to one in done in the playoffs every year. Not to hard to beat a 8th or 9th seed.

KF is a good coach..problem is some of those kids in his main team are now on his HS team or going to be HS eligible next year so unless RIIL changes the rule.
Smart move by RAMS..not just for the reason cited about SR, but at some point you'd think KF will also get the talent from his brother at SC to come over to RAMS..
NE Revs & GPS Partners (NEP access) > Rams (MAPLE)
I think historically, the kids who make the move from SC to the Rams have older siblings that played over there and to the parents that's the next logical step. I heard there were a few kids from the GPS boy's U12 team that did just that, but I think they all had a tie to the Rams with other family members. Familiarity maybe?
I agree that families being comfortable with a program has bearing, but those moves were made prior to GPS and SC geographical convenience. The Bayside's and Bruno's of the world were too far away for a daily trip for SK residents and opted for Rams, but now a program exists in those same facilities the kids grew up around with the partnership.
I think the majority will remain, but will agree some will make the move. With anything, time will tell and drastic changes can be made. The future in RI soccer is always cloudy with current hierarchy at soccer-ri preventing proper change needed and holding onto the current status quo and doing business as usual.

Sounds about right, committing to travel to either Smithfield or Seekonk from SK isn't for everyone and now there are other options.
Agree also with the SRI comment, things are stagnating or failing. Superliga is not what it once was. I'm not sure what they have going on with ODP, it's been very quiet.

ODP seems to have gone through some changes this year from what I've seen so far. Its a good sign to me that they are tweaking things to hopefully make things better, and definitely focusing more on the younger age groups.

Not everyone but..you have the skhs coaches at rams and the relationship of GE and url connection with some of the SC coaches...especially ones with young talent..nep draw is big so that is something rams will need to figure out..banking on region 1 league not what it used to be
