Leagues have tryout dates and there is a blurb about the "window" in SRI policy manual.

RAMS U12 boys are moving up so they were u13. BB from South has been "trying out" a team all spring to form a u10 elite team for SC and you can bet that group will move to RAMS at some point if the 4 town rule does not go away.

Do you mean MO (not MM) -- she is the one who is the club registrar and at SRI.

So, technically if they had any u10-u12, they would be..question is did they?

Also, you are correct in that some of the teams are held hostage by the SK/NK boys coaches and apparently DP on the SK girls side (?) which if true is again at least an ethical violation as he has been working with the HS girls on the 16/17 all season (listed as an asst coach on the 17).

But come on, this is RI and SRI is an extension..how much conflict of interest or look the other way goes on? Hell, RI Rays are still listed as a premier club even though they have not meet SRI rules for 2+ years. Bayside United has been delinquent with the state in terms of corporate filings for years (and Capital and 2 others currently) which technically means you are not supposed to 'transact business' in the state.

but if someone cares enough report it to MAPLE as those teams are in MAPLE..doubt they'll do anything either..

THEY DID NOT PLAY ON THE U12 TEAM!!! These are new players who are currently U11 who tried out and were U12 team.

should be "were selected for the U12 team." The club is still clearly advertising U10 - U18 tryouts were June 2 and 3.

U11 players from OS, EG, etc. went to official Rams U12 tryouts last week (June 2 and 3) and have received offers.

Tryouts are happening 365 days a year. Players are constantly being invited to tryout for teams. Imposing a date is makes no sense at all. Having all teams conduct tryouts on the same day is a scam.

Can we quote this in a report to the Maple league. What about player ages? Can those be fudged also?

However, I suspect the RAMS like everyone else used gotsoccer to "register" kids for tryout so it could be easily checked if u11 aged kids were registered.

Don't expect SRI to do anything, especially for a club still playing in USYSA affiliated leagues..

And they gave the kids a deadline to accept the offer to join the Rams which was before tryouts at every other club. They must be on Rams time.

There is evidence both with u10 to u12 enrolling in tryouts AND registering for the club before they were even allowed to tryout. Pretty sure it is an issue to take up with Maple rather than SRI since they violated league rules. They didn't even want the players to see other clubs.

This will make them unavailable for post-season tournament...but then again, that was never a consideration for any of the RAMS teams
