Main issues we have as a team are the facilities which is probably a Cranston issue more than anything. Nets are all torn. Dads on the boys team are always zip tying and the fields are atrocious and have big holes. Probably paying a bit much for what we actually get but true premier is almost double so we will wait a few years.
Eye banged. That’s funny. My wife and her friends said it just feels dirty when he is around.

Think our team is beginning to implode. Lot of the parents only care about the score and we aren’t winning. One of the dads is going around collecting phone numbers of the better players so that he can put together a team of his own somewhere else. I told him we would have to think about it. The team has only been together for 3 months so it seems early to give up. Is this a practice that I should get used to seeing?

This should provoke another whiny email from the top when he finds out. Starting to be a normal occurrence

Guy needs to hang it up and let PJ take over. Give CLCF some positive energy

like others have said he won’t because he gets all kinds of traffic for the business that he is involved with. I wish he would go. Our sons team made it all the way to the final game of a tourney and he decided to bring in ringers from from real club teams to try to win it all. Kids who had worked hard got to sit and watch others lose the game. That was a fun lesson for the boys and they still talk about it.

Can you upload vids to this site? My daughter has one of the boys she knows who play for this so called premier team up on the roof of a building throwing anything they can find down on cars and people in the parking lot below. I imagine they must have been at a tournament somewhere. Dopes were in their uniforms and sweatshirts. Sure the league and their parents had no idea what they were up to.

Looks like they are starting to book rooms for this fiasco again. I always stay at another hotel so that my kids aren’t exposed to all the drunk parents partying in the parking lot while their kids run around the hotel like animals. Won’t be long before there is an ugly incident.

we got booted because of a group of parents that are not interested in acting like parents. Sure it will just move to the next hotel.

Any thoughts on the older (high school age) teams that do play in the NECSL?

Before you make your decision in the next few weeks I have some advice. Our son was a top player on the U9 team this year. We heard about but didn’t get involved w the leadership nonsense that everyone is talking about so I can’t comment on any of that. The only dealing I tried to have w the President was an email inquiry about why we were getting so little practice time for the money or the sub par practice facilities. Surprise surprise just like mentioned earlier we were ignored. Guess he had more important stuff on his mind. . We were just there for soccer and tried to stay away from the Cranston club drama. We usually sat w the other team parents at games because it was just embarrassing some days. Long story short we left for another club half way through the year and lost half the money because we were not seeing any development. He was one of the best players on the team and some weekends ended up playing goal and wasting his time at a position that he wasn’t interested in. It was really not a fun time for him or his family to watch and be part of. Do yourself a favor and spend your money wisely. We now get two practices and a skill building each week and play against really competitive teams. His development has soared and we feel like it was worth the loss of some money. Good luck

What other options are available in the Northern Rhode Island area? We are in the same boat and possibly the same team. Looking for good training and development to prepare him for the future. This club can’t even give me an honest answer as to why we are a premier team that pays a premier price but still play against teams that we routinely blow out. Half the time the boys are just passing the ball around after halftime. We were in a similar situation w my older daughter and when she got to high school she was cut from the team at West. I don’t want to tread water and have this one broken hearted as well. This year they raised their prices and now are right on par w what some of my co workers pay for premier. I have already gotten their opinions of the clubs they are involved with and want to see what everyone else thinks. Thanks for honest answers

Is it a premier team or select team? A friend of mine showed me the invitation and it says both. He is confused.
