    Premier players playing HS

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but premier doesn't play in the fall due to the kids being in HS and their 1st priority being that of their HS team, correct?
So how is it that, my child's moron HS coach is "working with" the premier coach of this other child, so said child doesn't have to attend weekend practices (while attending weekend games...blah blah blah)
Isn't this breaking some rule on the HS side of things?

A high school player to play beyond the high school season the player must get permission from the hs coach, AD and principle. The reasoning is so the player's body gets the proper amount of rest that they require and injuries from over use do not occur.

When I say beyond high school I mean during the high school season to play extra games with another team.

Freshman/U14 players may sometimes fall in to the situation of playing HS and Premier during the fall since U14 and town teams play then. Shame on the Premier coach for worrying about his Fall team instead of the well being of the player.

Why are you so concerned for said child.... does said child take playing time away from your child... if yes i would run to anyone you can find and complain to further alienate your child from the team

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS i am glad that coaches are actually working together and that egos are not getting in the way

I was thinking along these lines aw well. It's great that the coaches are looking at the big picture. typically coaches prefer to ignore anything else the kid is doing. If your kid works out at track practice for 2 hours after school and then goes to soccer practice, that kid should not be doing the conditioning part of the soccer practice. My daughters ex- SFB soccer coach couldn't see how that mattered.

Assuming OP is actually the kid's parent, as stated, who elses business would it be?

He/She maybe wrong, but it certainly is their business!

Besides that, why get all indignant and use caps etc.? Not your kid, right?

How about spring HS conflicts with club soccer

Wondering who's in this situation or has been in it during prior spring sport seasons? Club soccer results are really important in the spring season and yet the same kids who wanted to play fall HS soccer may likely want to play spring track, lax, baseball, softball, etc. What kind of negotiations might we have to do? Or is there no negotiating?

Not sure how it is at every club, but at my kid's club, if you play premier, then the club tells you it should be your first athletic priority. You don't show for training, regardless of your excuse, it impacts your playing time. That having been said. I know the M's of LSA ran track at LSA and played ECNL soccer too. So I suspect it depends on if you are an all American or not. How badly does the team/coach need you

Mostly, the real cause of this is using the Aug 1 cut off for birthdays in soccer at club level. So you have 9th graders still playing u14 instead of u15 and having a conflict in the fall with HS soccer. Should be Jan 1 of birth year, period

Who wouldn't pick premier soccer over playing high school as a freshman.
