It seems to me they have had one good team and eveyone acts like they are great? Their teams have no skills or footwork. Yes, it is cheap, but who cares if your kid isn't getting the training.

Why do you care? What is the point?
Personally I never see hype about Lusitana here-all I ever see is bashing here about the club but then again there is bashing of every club here....this place is so negative. Are you just trying to push more negativity down the hill? Haven't seen enough Lusitana bashing lately? Jealous or bitter for some reason?
I personally love Lusitana! Go ahead...tell me I'm crazy!! I'm a crazy parent...my kid stinks...my coach just yells and has no idea what he is doing! Wheeeeee....
Get a life.

However, they have over a dozen teams playing in Maple this year. Some in D1, D2 & D3. May not be Bayside but look at the shambles of BW, Bruno, TW, RISC and the NE Wave. They are doing something right.

Bashing any kid or club is nothing more than a parent trying to justify why his kid is on a particular team, and in RI there hasn't been a club that can compete outside this State

At the younger ages their is always a couple kids that shine, but those kids usually become the norm as they grow older with very few exceptions!

Really people
You know, standing on the sidelines coaching your children we see alot and hear alot.
This "my kid is better than your kid", "your kid could never play on the same field as my kid" and the ever popular "your club sux" is laughable because it comes from that pathetic parent who through the curse of having little or no athletic ability is forced to 'play' through their child. Now you can say that is not so but the problem is, we (coaches) have seen the type and for that element, the shoe truly fits. The typical poster on this site is usually the loudest jackass on the sidelines yelling instructions and proclaiming WE won at the end of a game. Well just a reminder, WE is your child's team and YOU do not play.
What you fail to realize is that it does not matter what club your child plays for or what sport it is. Only a few will go on to success in HS and even fewer in college. So, as coaches, we teach your children about the sport and how to play while patching up the wounds caused by parents that ride their children too hard and expect too much. Don't think so? How about a kid that has tears saying my (insert parent) thinks I should be scoring more.
Wake up!! Youth sports is not about the dream of the pros (which it is for the majority) it is about character, perserverence and team work so the children (have you forgot that is what they are) are better prepared to work in the real world when they get older. As coaches if we do it right, some will succeed in the sport of choice while hopefully all will succeed at their carreer of choice drawing on the lessons learned from playing sports.
Just something you should keep in mind as you bash another parent's club of choice and are looking longingly on the field yelling "get the damn ball" while thinking secretly "I would have gotten it if I was him/her".
S/coach

I think a few Lusitana teams have done well outside RI as well. So before you paint with the broad brush of ignorance, you may want to get some facts straight.
