Possibly true but looking at last year's U12 NEP standings, Bruno beat Bayside in both the Fall and Spring for best record and more wins for Bruno over Bayside as well. I guess Bayside adding players to their u12 State Cup roster so they could beat Bruno paid off but that doesn't necessarily make them the best team in RI out of the gate. Now, if they held back some of their former u14's to be on the u13 team this season -- that might be a smart thing.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

These boys were good enough to play for Bayside for five straight years but were "not that good"? I know one of the parents that left and know firsthand they were looking for a teaching change and were not unhappy with the Bayside club and did not have a problem with the playing time their kid was getting. Is it so terrible that 10-11 year olds playing under multiple coaches and styles is reason to hate on these children?
If they came back to Bayside next year, would that make things better for you or would you reject them? I hold no grudge and I bet I was more impacted by this kid leaving than you as my kid still plays for AV and I thought the kid that left was a decent utility player. Grow up!

If I was comparing them for my son, I'd go with Bruno. Besides the aforementioned good record against Bayside last year, Bruno plays in NEP Premier and Blackwatch plays in MAPLE Blue. In my opinion, NEP is the best league so I would want him there. They both have good coaches. Bruno is affiliated with Brown University and Blackwatch publicizes their connection to the Revs and Kath I. but I'm not aware of any official affiliation. As far as the Brown/Bruno affiliation I don't believe there has been a Bruno player that has played at Brown. Also I wouldn't call Blackwatch having a connection with the Revs. They have multiple players in the revs academy teams but I don't believe it is because they played at BW or because they went there on the word of SC.
