BTW NK's stud went down in the middle of the field like she was snipered from the grassy knoll. She was screaming in pain and left the game but seemed fine walking around after the game

OOoooo big tough NK dad-coach....really? You've been spouting off all year, now you're po'd because someone singles out on TS? AS IF that's never happened before. Hold on, let's go back....Prout plays on a cow pasture, and have no scorers; LS's midfield will be "ineffective", they have no forwards who can finish, everyone else su**s...NK will dominate, and kill everyone else because they stink. blah blah blah....Get over yourself. I'm totally with you on this. I get the sense that it is a Mom doing the attacking, or a very feminine Dad. Calling out specific players and bad mouthing them leans towards a lack of intelligence or at least a very unbalanced individual.

High school soccer is for fun. Half of the teams are made of pretty good soccer players, the other half is pretty good athletes. It has its place in our lives but is not important in any way in the big picture. We all want our kids HS team to win and its not a bad thing to be disappointed when they lose. But the ridiculous venom that some spew on this site is a little unnerving.

Good point, what dad or type of dad would ask his daughter "...Ask any girl who they hate playing the most and they'll unanimously tell ...". When do you have that conversation?

Have you actually witnessed a girl's varsity soccer game on a field level? It's actually pretty brutal physically and the trash talking is vicious as well.These girls compete pretty hard and some are out to hurt each other. I know you don't want to hear or believe that, but it happens and some teams are worse than others.

If the prospect of your kid walking off a field and saying I hate playing that team seems crazy to you, it tells me that you don't have a child playing HS soccer or more likely, they are playing at the JV level.

As far as NK, I understand why someone's kid might not like playing against them as last season I witnessed their students in the stands taunt a player from the opposing team all game long while their parents and teachers said idly by laughing even when the opposing player's parent asked them to stop.

Glad you got that off your chest. My comment was directly related to using a high school girls initials in a very negative attacking way in a public forum. That's it.

I have one daughter playing in college right now and my second has played varsity for four years. I'm fully aware of what goes on, on the soccer field between theses girls, but honestly that's where it should stay. And yes, soccer is for fun. There is no other reason to play soccer. If it isn't fun for your kid you should advise her to stop playing. Don't you think?

Pilgrim will not make it to the finals. Seen them play two times - not that good. Too much kick and chase.

The pilgrim coach is too quick to go to a defensive posture after getting an early lead. If they had continued to attack EWG they would have won that game. It happened last year against EWG as well. An early 2-0 lead, switched to a defensive posture, and lost the game. At least this time EWG could only fight back to a tie. I do like the Beacon's reporting though. Makes the game sound like a gentle match when really it was a slug fest and a grudge match just like it will be if they meet again.

Prout defense first to shutdown NK - left the Skippers crying and wailing on the field with 2-0 dominant win in their house.

Hope MD is going to Syracuse for Drama and not soccer.

it would be great ewg-pil for D2 final but pil will choke in playoofs as alwyas. Hoping actually for EWG-Westerley. would be a much better game. Although lincoln could return to the finals as well.

Just stop it, this isn't an inner city pick up BB game. Imagine, HS kids acting immature, never seen that happen before. KIDS play hard, foul each other and take the results very personally. At the end of the day it is RI Girls HS soccer. Girls between 14-18 playing, so lets put the personal BS away. It is entertaining to banter about future or past results, it is another to call out a specific kid and denigrate her performance. You need to grow up and be an adult, unless of course you are not one?
