Dumb discussion track - EWG could probably compete in D1 but guess what - they don't. Until they step up and put themselves in D1 - they don't get to be compared or discussed as a D1 team.

You got me wrong - I'm saying we should pick on them for continuing to think they are some special soccer team burdened to be competing in D2. They would probably three teams in D1.

BTW, are any of their star players from last year's dynasty playing college soccer?

At LaSalle they do not use "ain't" and try not to turn two words into one. But your right about LaSalle, their scoring ability has significantly diminished. I haven't seen a game yet but it could be that they can control the game but just can't finish. Doesn't mean that they can't beat a good team by one goal. 1-0 is still a win.

You're confusing High School soccer with club soccer. THere are no premier players at EWG All Superliga and no one with college aspirations for soccer. Nothing wrong with that at all but you need to remember that its just high school and for fun. They just kicked a lot of butt while having a good time.

I'd consider alot of them to be premiere players since they have won the state championship in more than one girls age bracket . U16 I think and U19? Beat smithfield and burrillville wasnt even really a game .

I'm so conflicted about the upcoming LaSalle/EWG match. On one hand, I want LaSalle to kick their ass and demonstrate what a mediocre D1 team can do to the top D2 school. On
the other hand, I want EWG to kick their ass so LaSalle peeps will finally get their come uppance.

I guess I need LaSalle to win -the downside of EWG parents claiming they beat the dynasty and could have won state cup the last 4 years if they had only been playing in D1 would be intolerabe.

Can someone please take this person aside and explain what "premier" means in regards to youth soccer? And also explain that no one actually represents RIIL on the playing field. Good luck. It might take awhile to get through to this well intentioned but woefully misinformed individual.
