This thread is great example in misinformation - don't believe the hype's peoples.

For next year's U16's - there are probably three players from RI that would make the current Bayside U15 team - 2 are on Scorps ECNL and 1 on Stars ECNL.

There's no way Scorps are getting 6 players from RI at next year's U16. Ain't happening.

guys--listen to me. I'm posting from MA. I'm telling you that 6 players are being added to the rising U16 Scorpions roster for next season. SOME OF THEM are from RI--not all of them. That's all I'm trying to say. None of them came from Bayside.

Good clarification - all I can tell you is that there are three players at the rising U16 level from RI that are good enough to be on the Bayside team but aren't -

1 is already on Scorps ECNL roster (so she shouldn't be considered an addition)
1 plays for Stars ECNL
1 played for Nova this past year and guested on Scorps roster in Chicago last week

Meaning - if they are adding any players from RI other than the two available players above and no one currently from Bayside, they aren't adding much.

Any team that looses even 1 of their best players will be negatively affected. If you loose either your top scorer or your strongest mid-fielder then that will have a big impact on your team.

I dont think the scorpions suck but to say that they were a great team would be bs. Its teams like scorpions and soccer plus from ct that are giving the ecnl the bad rep. these same teams have been beaten by MA, RI and CT teams many times, just cause you put ecnl at the end of the name doesn't make them any better. Girls youth soccer will not make any improvements until USSOCCER steps in. JD from stars should not be they app's guy if BA from the bolts was the apps guy for the DAP the league would be looked at as a joke. Women are always second and our national program is going to pay for it. Canada and Mexico are making big strides and Japan is already better than us.

I agree with you here. Besides the current Bayside players and these other 3 players you have above, everyone else at this age group in RI is a drop off. Bayside would be even better if they would ever be able to add these 3 girls and keep them in RI.

Some to Stars, some to Scorps, and I had heard some to CT but not sure if this is so or if it meant to non-ECNL teams in CT. Whatever the truth is behind any of these rumors, at least it gives me something to talk about on Talking Soccer.
