JK bought his own town and is changing the name to Rays town... what will the club name be.... they are in maple that means they suck... they are in NEP that mean they suck.... my team plays in masc what does that mean...... my team won regionals last year.... get out of our forum please... why would i want to go to regionals and get killed my team went to a pool party..... and it never ends goes on and on

There was a rumor of a merger or buyout between Bruno and RISC where the RISC parents voted no when approached about it. Don't have the details does anyone know about this?

Real Rumors

Bayside FC will have trouble keeping their current U13 team together, at least 7-8 players will be on the club tour trying out for other clubs.

The current U12 teams will also be shopping. The top players on the 8v8 and 11v11 teams have already been in touch with a couple of the top club in Massachusetts, and will not be back if they can find a better option.

Tidal Wave is in talks to bring in more players through team acquisition. They are looking to rebound in the current U12 age group in particular with a team to replace the group that fell apart from last year.

And perhaps the most interesting rumors regard the direction of the new RPS program in South County. It will quite possibly just be South County again next year, until the RPS people figure out how to get a premier club slot in RI.

The other rumor is that they already had a deal with Soccer-RI to get a premier club slot.

As parents we all want what is best for our kids. As a Bayside parent or any other parents for that fact you be foolish not to keep all your options open. If Stars, Scorpions, and maybe NEFC comes knocking on my door I would have to look and see what they have to offer. Bayside is under no illusion that they can hold their beest players from pursuing their dream of playing at the next level. That is by they form a partnership with the Bolts so the better players can play DAP. With all the mergers, RI clubs need to grow or they will not survive in the next 2-3 years. In the next 3 years, RI will be left with 4-5 premier clubs if not fewers.

Here is my prediction:

2. Bayside FC Bolts (Affiliated with Bolts and maybe affilitate with an ECNL club)

You hit the nail on the head! very good predictions and Rams will fold and maybe one other club. Too many clubs in RI. Next step for Bayside and Bolts is to affiliate with ECNL. Both teams have good programs with close to 50 teams. Two very successful programs!

Why would RIPS even want a bunch to Unsuccessful Rams teams anyway? Let them die a slow death. When JO looses his job at URI they fold anyway, they are a has-been before they even got started.

There are couple decent players on the Ram teams. RIPS has the financial backing and training academy that can make a good athlete into a great soccer player. Soccer can be taught but if you don't have an athlete it is harder. South County has always been an obstable to JO. Now that SC is a premeir club, JO might as well join RIPS and provide them with the facility needed to make RIPS even better.
