If they are young and their first go around with organized soccer start with your Town team, see if they like it before you shell out 1000 to 2000 on premier soccer. Their are many clubs that will take your money even if he kid sucks, look at most premier teams in this state they all have kids that don't belong but mommy and daddy fork over the money.

Believe me--my kid couldn't find his ass if it wasn't attached to his butt, although I spent thousands before anyone ever pointed that out to me. So take my word and proceed with caution.

What I am sure is if they continue to develope they will be very good in 2-3 more years.
I think Bayside has one of the better 12 yr old players in the state, very smooth with the ball he is a game changer. The only thing he is missing is a right foot, if he ever develops a right foot he will be unstoppable.

I have seen him play he is very good with the ball but he is a one footed player so I do not think he will go as far as you think.

On my sons BWP U10 team we have a player who is Messi Like IMO, very good player.

BW has a U12 player, playing up I think at U13..scored the winning goal as a 6th grader in the boys' middle school state championship game this year.

You will never understand the game like I do because I am a professional coach. It is because my teams DON'T win that proves my overwhelming knowledge of the game - which is vastly superior to any soccer parent. I specifically teach my players NOT to score goals because that is NOT the way soccer should be played. The right way to play means that scoring goals is optional.

Besides, how could you ever truly understand the game? You don't even own a Xara sweatsuit.
