We are on a good team without any benchwarmers on Bayside United. My player is happy. Perhaps you are that person who is dedicated to bashing BU because your child sat on the bench. Sometimes players look stronger in tryouts and can't deliver on the field. Any team with depth does not have bench warmers but is able to sub in fresh hungry players. Personally I'm sick and tired parents who just right checks and expect their kid to magically become a premier player. They leave holes on the field that the hard working kids can't always cover. This happened on another club and the dad was furious that the kid was a benchwarmer and ended up leaving. How could this be the dad wondered? Well the kid was overweight and out of shape, ddn't give his full effort at practice and looked like he never touched a ball at home. My players work another 10 hours a week at soccer at home outside of practices and they run. You can't just write checks and expect premier players. You are given the oppportunity and some people work towards that goal and some don't. Premier clubs are in the business of winning. We don't pay the money, give our time, travel all over and work hard on and off the field to lose. Go to the town teams if you want more play time for less money but even there they will stop playing weak players at the older ages and forget about middle and high school play time if you can't deliver.

LOL? No, I am not a "noob" and I actually have some experience with my kids playing other premiere and town teams.

Basically, you are saying negative things with no back-up. I am just calling you out.

You can't judge a premiere team, judge YOUR kids team. If it is positive and you have a good coach & good training, then you are in the right place.

These sweeping accusations are just ill-informed. You write things because of things you hear from other parents who say something? It is just stupid.

I have no agenda. Just answering the post. My kid is having a wonderful experience
on this particular Bayside United team. She plays a lot more this year than last year but even last year i would not have called her a "bench warmer!" Some kids play more than others and sometimes that shifts depending on who you are playing, how a kids playing, etc. This is SOCCER.

So get a life. Stop focusing on this negativity and please don't assume someone is a "noob" just because they don't agree with you. Show some integrity and move on.

I like how they have different age groups practicing at the same location. It's nice for unity. Also I liked the soccer equipment drive they had for needy kids from Liberia. I was nervous reading the information on this site but haven't found any problem with "benchwarmers" or the coach. We really like him.

He is better off telling those kids they are not good enough and let them move on than sit the and watch the game. I guess the parents don't care as long as the team wins. Must be a slow morning in Massachusetts. Traffic around Boston? Because everyday a "real" BFC parent points out that the mess on here is has nothing to do with the folks at BFC. Someone from Mass must be pretending to be from BFC gloating over every town team victory and bashing and trashing other clubs. You might want to boycott Mass because they are making you look like odious braggarts.

Why does anyone from RI think anyone from ma cares about Bayside? Your club is not a threat locally or regionally. With the new npl leagues the top ma teams will never cross your paths again. Even the ecnl B teams will not be playing you. Even if your at some of the same tournaments you'll certainly be in a lower bracket. Stop blaming others for your own inadequacies.
