Bayside GU11 has played Smithfield 2x. Once a full tourney game and tied 2-2. Once in a 25 minute indoor game and Smithfield won 2-1 on a last second goal.

Are you saying Smithfiled is that much better? BU didn't get Maple to not schedule them, Maple did it on there own.

"Premier" clubs should always beat town teams. Just my personal opinion, but how do you charge your players what you do, then tie or lose to a town, albeit a good town team? I would think that would kinda hurt the recruiting process, no? Smithfield charging their kids like $450 for the whole year, what is BU charging? Although you did do a good job recruiting players ,aka poaching, off of Smithfield's C U10 girls team 5 days before Superliga season started forcing them to almost forfeit their whole season. You must be proud of yourself's over there at BU. Keep up the good work, I'm sure there are plenty of kids not happy on Rhody division teams you can grab. My prediction is that Smithfield Premier teams attract more players from BU this June at tryouts than from any other program.

Yup that's what they do and then not play half the team. They lost again in a tourney against town teams today. I agree stay with your town team- cheaper and at least you will get to play. BU is all about winning and posting on their website. Finalists!!! Unfortunately, they haven't done much of that lately. Poor kids that sit on the bench with the promise to play when they don't have a shot...

Smithfield Premiere teams? So is Smithfield a Premiere program or a town program?

When you are recruiting I'm sure you say Premiere, then when you are playing Premiere teams you label yourself town.

GU11 team lost to GU12 town teams not GU11 town teams. Town teams who have their **** together. Most players who go to a Premiere team simply do so because their town organizations can't get their heads out of their asses.

I agree, Smithfield is a town organization that is getting the job done for it's players.

Who are you and what do you know about my daughters
U11 bayside team? Today was all about practice and trying
Different positions. You see our coach cares about player
Development. All the kids got great rotating playing time?
Indoor soccer is to develop skills for outdoor/real soccer!
              Don't take indoor so seriously....we don't. You've got a chip on
Your shoulder, eh? Give it a rest. You have no idea what you
Are talking about. It's actually getting annoying. Team is made
Up of lots of great girls who love soccer with a supportive coach. Can
We just leave it at that?

Girls I am sure are nice. BU has ruffled a lot of feathers and I am sure not all the coaches coach like SD. Got to other premier team practices and you will see what real training and real premier is all about.

You have to ask yourself what kind of adults take time out of their busy day to insult children's sports team. Life is short and only you know your own child's happiness. Forget this "real" premier, "real" team nonsense and let the kids enjoy their childhood. Almost none of these children will even be going onto college soccer nevermind anything else. People just want to be hurtful in a world that already has so much sadness. Speaks volumes.

Yes, even some premiere or clubs that like to call themselves premiere are hurtful and sad.

Well, premier clubs are not posting on here. Hurtful parents who should know better are.

What kind of coach takes money from parents even though he knows the kid does not have enough talent? These premier coaches know within minutes just by how a kid touches the ball if they have skill. In 5-10 minutes of practice those coaches know right away if the kid can be coached up.

So I ask you what kind of coach takes money from people knowing that kid will sit the bench most of the game? Any coach who is not all about the $$$ would politely tell the parents that kid needs more work and the team they are trying out for is to far ahead of her. It may hurt the parents and kids feelings but it is far better than taking the money and all the rest.

.....and what responsibility does the coach have???

It would be better if they did that. Still doesn't excuse the parents on here who attack other parents and their children. Good God it's just soccer.

And the coaches or team managers don't attack players, parents or other coaches?
