Find a team that will make your kid better as a player and learm to be part of the team.
You must be joking right!! BU is the biggest laughing stock and everyone says who the heck are they. No one know who you are. They think BU is BFC. I can't tell you how many people have left that club and said I can't believe we spent our money there. Poor organization or should I say no organization, just focused on results, grabbing kids from towns during tournaments and sitting the normal players.

You don't even have a website that lists the teams at your club. If I was interested in BU and looked online I would say forget it, can't even figure out how many teams you have or what age group. All I see is accolades for winning indoor on the website, who cares!!

You will eventuially figure out that this club is a big old ponzi scheme. Talk to the parents who have left and they will tell you. I saw a BU team last week at WWIS South and the two coaches looked like two guys they just picked up off the street. Looked like football guys, yelling and screaming, no professional athletic clothes on and jumping around when they scoreed like it was the world cup. That's what you want to be a part of, then go right ahead! Better you than me.

I left a word out, I meant Bayside parents coach from the sidelines too much from what I have seen. They have good teams and the kids are well trained, so let them play. From what I have seen going anywhere inlcuding a town team is better than Bayside United. I am agreeing with you. I would never take my kid there. Like you said, they dont show the teams because they have no set teams. What ever happened to professionalism and coaching because you are proud of your teams and will train them instead of trying to win some indoor tournament against town teams with kids that dont even play for you? I can't believe the parents dont see this and arent angry they are wasting their money.

          Bayside United Pre Season Camp

SD is planning a pre season camp, end of March, to prepare his clubs for the upcoming season. For $135 your kid can go and train for a week (6 days).

This is supposedly for current Bayside U players.

Q: Shouldn't the players paying their tuitions to BU already, get training as part of their regular teams practices? $135 for training that should already be included as part of their program.

Hope PCD hasn't started practicing yet because SD won't be anywhere to be found.

Are you kidding me! He must be short money to pay coaches and leagues because of all the freebies and has resorted to charging his own customers more money for a week of training that they should of had as part of the deal.

So much for SD's Mission of "Developing Players to be the Best They Can Be"! Just as long as they don't get in they way of his horrible organization winning an equally horrible tourney.

BTW that is not true. ALL THE PLAYERS in the tournament were age appropriate and by the way ALL u-11! The u-11 team is pretty good! And yes, i don't care that much about indoor so who knows what will happen in the spring. but a u11 team with u11 players won the u12A tournament. girls were proud. what's wrong with that? after a terrible fall season. kind of funny that you crock it up to players playing down when the entire team is u11 playing up. whatever!

again - that is not true? my daughter is on the team. they are all u11. no one above u12 was in that game. hey you can hate all you want on SD. i am not defending him. but please. the u11 team is a great group. lets leave it at that.

Ok. this is my 3d post and only my second time on this site (Was looking for scorpion bowl info.) Again. Only speaking the reality of what i know. The u-11 team is a "SET" team?!
We've been together since u10, with 80% of the team playing together for over 1 year. (a few left, yes one parent who thought his kid should have more playing time even though she played majority of time....) so again, lets give correct info. and i can only comment o the bayside united u11 girls team. lies are really uncalled for. if you don't know something first hand, don't post it.

Yeah, we know, he used some u12 players that's not to say that the u11s aren't good, he just always has to stack his teams to get a trophy.

What do you mean, "we know."

He used TWO u11 players that are currently playing for the u12 team but are BOTH u11.

So again, they won the u12 tournament all being u11. AND, we were missing TWO players, one sick/one traveling and both solid players.

So SD had NOTHING to do w/ it. We needed two players (we only had two subs?) and we used two u11 players.

So you don't know. And honestly, this is my daughters team so if you have any more questions and would like to know the truth, post them. I have no agenda. Just don't like reading posts about my kids team that are untrue.

Ok, but this is always SDs agenda. He is not your coach, so maybe it wasn't him. But this is the reputation of the club and how he has played in tournaments for a long time. Good they won, but why stay there? From what I know it is poorly run and the kids are not valued. SD has stopped training kids unless for money and there are so many other teams that will give you solid training without extra cost. I don't like what I see from this club and I spoke to a few kids that played with my son. I was there I saw it and trust me there are better clubs out there. People post things here because they have either seen it or experienced it. Good luck to you.

Where's their picture on the website then? Ask SD that.

Hi. You sound like a nice, reasonable parent. We are staying as her coach is GREAT. The girls are so kind and have great sportsmanship (they support eachother/not critical, etc). Her training is solid and not "too much." (Bayside FC too intense for us at this young age). They understand she plays other sports, she gets good playing time, and coach plays all players. I know the reputation, but you have to base your decisions on the actual experience. She's happy, i'm happy, so why leave? (and she is learning) SD does not train or coach all teams. That is like saying you should leave Bruno if you are on a good team just b/c you don't like JT. Point is, I just wanted to clarify the comments as they were incorrect re: the u11 G team. I do know that what you are saying does happen on other teams....but happens on all clubs. It is a crap shoot!

seriously? most premier teams in RI don't have pictures of all teams on web sites?
between my kids they've been on a few premiere teams and photos happen randomly at best.

there is an old photo on web site of last years tournament win - there is nothing behind a photo or not photo, it is really not that customary?
