Anything to get RI in the news at the regionals is good for our little state.

This is not meant to downplay the achievment of the winning teams. Just saying you build to compete at the regionals. If you build a team just to win our state cup that will only get you trounced in PA. That was the impetus for the RI Rays as they wanted to build a team that could compete at the regionals. Especially in the younger age groups you get there and see players in U12, U13, U14 that look like they belong on U15, U16 and up. New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia are famous for jumbo sized teams. These teams bring players off the bench that could easily be the best on some of our teams.

Tournament should be easier to advance since no DAP teams on boys side and no ECNL teams on girls side. This would be the year teams should break through before clubs find return to competing in both.

It's still going to be all about the draw. If an RI team draws New Jersey, they still aren't advancing.
They need to get two of the following states minimally, VT, ME, PAW, NYW, WVA, DE.
They need to avoid NJ, MD, VA, MA, PAE, NYE
Then the wild card states are CT, NH.
A draw of CT, VT, and DE puts a RI team through if the CT team is average.
That's how it works.

This is what needs to happen on this site:
New York legislation would ban anonymous online speech
Sites would have to remove such comments unless posters agree to attach names. it would get rid of all the cowards who post all this stuff.
Too bad this site isn't in New York.

Don'tcha just love a know-it-all? Glad you have everything figured out. Can't wait to see a team from little Rhody prove you wrong! Go crawl back under the rock from where you came (Im guessing somewhere in MA). HATER!

Wish all the teams much luck including non-Bayside teams. Go a represent RI well.
Competing at the regional cup is tough fun and it's a great recruiting tool for border player wars and we have been losing that battle for far too long now.
