I don't want to embarrass them on this site, if they even read this site, but sure.

And how did CM get held in such high regard? What successes has she had? I don't know if there are a lot of strong female coaches in RI, I don't consider CM a strong coach though.

12a Does the organization have a written conflict of interest policy? If "No,"go to line 13 . 12a Yes

b Are officers, directors or trustees, and key employees required to disclose annually interests that could give rise
      to conflicts? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12b Yes

c Does the organization regularly and consistently monitor and enforce compliance with the policy? If "Yes,"
describe in Schedule 0 how this is done 12c Yes

Form 990, Part VI, The board of directors requires all of its members and employees to annually declare any potential Section B, line 12c conflicts of interest If a potential conflict is disclosed the board of directors will review all information related to it and decide appropriate action

** Funny, the people who have the most conflict of interests are the ones who get to review them..sort of like Congress exempted themselves from their own laws..

      ODP Player Fees 263,828

ODP Program & Expense 231 ,221 (how much of this is to coaches?)
Coaches & Instructors E 101,961 (and this is separate from ODP)
      Soccer Tournament Expen 67,905
      Player Registrations 50,049
      Miscellaneous Program E 40,649
      All other expenses 6,508

25 Total functional expenses. Add lines 1 through 24f 690,294

** Items lumped as "Misc expenses" are not supposed to exceed 5% of line 25 (total) -- guess the Treasurer missed noting the 40.6K is greater than the threshold (690K * .05 = 34.5K)

Okay..so the point.. it's a *quarter million dollar effort * --- it should not be a BOD position -- it should be put out as a part-time contracted position that with hiring qualification standards (A/B license, Not a coach of a team affiliated with any member club, etc.) -- with annual performance objectives and review. That person should then be able to hire individual staff/coaches based on established criteria approved by the general membership and enforced by the BOD.

Would avoid the perception (given the benefit of the doubt to CM) that "best coaches in the state" means "best connected" instead of "best qualified"

The only think I am left with after reading this is the realization the you DESPERATELY need a hobby.

          I don't know CM, and I don't know if she's a good coach.

I do know that compared to other DOC's, she's grossly underqualified, and has seemingly no experience.

CM is a very good coach. If my daughter could have her as coach then she would play at TW.

Yes you can. There's no rule against living in RI or NH and doing Mass ODP, or living in Mass and doing RI ODP. (thought I'd throw in the last part of the humorists out there...). Really. No rule.

Is there any truth to the rumor that there might not be a U13G group in RI? Did they even finish the tryouts?

Toadwell will put the TW team in there and give them a discount.
