Headed to BIT this weekend. What should I know about that tournament before arriving? What should I expect? Does it differ on girls or boys side?

Just an observation. Why is it that Barrington, the host of the tournament, has 3 teams in most age brackets (boys and girls), but only had one or two teams compete in the top ("A" division) ?

In fairness, some of those 3rd/4th teams went .500 or less so not as if sweeping up in the lower tier brackets.
However, this does seem to be their MO on the girls side. C'mon - your team went 4-0 and 15 GF and 0 GA in the "B" bracket with your "A" team -- and you can't field an A team in the U12 when you have 4 or 5 U12 teams last spring? Same with U14 boys. Ocean State as well putting their U12 anchor team in the B division. Does it really make you feel better to beat up on classic teams with your anchor team?
And was that a correct score in Blackwatch U11 boys losing 11 - 0 to Ocean State -- even was that their U10 team (still, seems like you should be more competitive).

Please..that occasionally happens..but look at U14 girls.. 5 teams in A bracket.. 6 in B and C.. Barrington team in B bracket goes 4 and 0 with 15 GF and 0 GA.. are you telling me the tournament bracket would have fallen apart if the Barrington team played in the A bracket?
And as the host, the tournament organizers have a good sense of the level of the local teams without having to check superliga..and you have know as the tournament organizers if the entered teams are more first year/second year in age groups..most teams when I was involved in a tournament want their teams placed appropriately.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. There were Barrington teams playing in the Blue (A) brackets, in B U11, B U12, and G U12 divisions (there was no G U11 division) and the only brackets they didn't field Blue bracket teams were both U14 brackets because the season records of the other A teams were far and above the ones of any placed in Red (or B). Although scores aren't counted, Barrington will never put any U10 team in the top brackets because they don't have Fall Travel at U10 and those teams are all select teams from their fall Rec program and put together that week before. They also put in a G and B U12 select team which played in the lowest bracket. Kinda tired hearing about Barrington sandbagging when it's absolutely not the case.

We'll see in the spring superliga where Barrington puts their teams..should have a team in each boys and girls U12/U14 anchor.

Barrington had a U14 girls anchor team in fall that went close to .500 and had a +1 GD..why would that team drop down in the spring? Except for the South County game (and the SC team went to state cup finals last year so is an excellent team), all the game scores indicate competitive matches -- so why would that team drop down to classic?
