Interesting to see that the TW girls teams are not all going to the same tournament. I don't reacll having seen a club send its teams to differnet tournamnets on the same weekend--no big deal, just an observation. Some are off to MPS, some to NEWSS.

Why would TW waste money to attend NEWSS? Should had just attended MPS.

Not sure if this is what you're asking but I am a big fan of the Hampshire Dome in Milford, NH - www.hampshiredome.com It's a beautiful facility.

The Hampshire Dome offers full field (110 yd x 60 yd) 11 v 11 jamborees on Saturdays throughout December-January-February. Each team plays either 3 - 40 minute games or 4 - 30 minute games depending on the number of teams in the jamboree.

We did it last year and it was great - an alternative or supplement to 7 v. 7 indoor soccer. It's a bit of a hike, about an hour and 15 minute drive from northern RI, but you'd only do it once per month and the entire jamboree is held on 1 day during a 4 hour window.

Simply go to the website and click on "soccer" for more information.

Hampshire Dome is a nice facility - wish SRI would look at something like that or the set up in Farmington with FSA/CJSA and the indoor/outdoor complex..with Lowes leaving Quonset and a perfectly sized field across the street..

Have to see what WWIS ends up doing in Quonset

probably for the same reason bayside is wasting money going to FL.

The poster's point is that TW is wasting money traveling to NEWSS when the level of competition at MPS is more than suitable for them.

NEWSS is one of those tournaments that accepts a bunch of teams in each age group. The top division in each age group is very strong, but after that there is a huge drop, and any TW team at NEWSS will be playing in the irrelevant bracket.

You hit it on the head. TW continues to waste money traveling to tournaments when they don't have the talent to showcase. Most of the girls will be playing low d3 ball if any in college. Plus they haven't had a good showing in a couple of years.
