All this talk about too much subbing and the most obnoxious statement "he doesn't even belong on the field" comments would all go away if Lincoln were in DII. The reality is that Lincoln could play their starters all game, every game in DI and still end up under 500.
I was talking to a parent the other day and they were reminiscing about how good their kids High School soccer team use to be and how now the team just isn't as good - and it was the same scenario. The old "good" team won their division and made it to the finals the year before. come to find out after winning they moved up a division and guess what. It wasn't so easy any more.
The Boys Lincoln team finished the 2009 season with a mediocre 7-7-2 record in the regular season but made it to the finals and lost to EG. Now why would you move a 7-7-2 team up a division. This just seems crazy to me.
