And I agree with the other poster regarding the coach at LaSalle. He gets the best talent in the state already developed and handed on a silver platter - it's tough NOT to lose - but oh wait, he's done that (lose) for the last three or four years - there's your example!
Much can be said for the premier teams in this state, they're not better because of superior coaching, it's because the players they have are better, more motivated, pushed uncontrollably by their parents, and teams are comprised of players from multiple towns.

South County produces some pretty successful teams, but they also draw from multiple towns and at older ages have players from FOUR different high schools. That makes it hard for any team with players from just one town to compete.

No community town rule after U14..which means there is nothing stopping other organizations from doing what SC or some other clubs do.

Here's a thought.. have your club leadership put their egos aside and partner with another town club in the same boat that gets thin at the older age groups..

Their are only a few SK Varsity players that are actually South County players. Several of the South County opted not to play HS soccer. Most of the starters are from the Rams.

Hey -- I'm not criticizing what SC does, I think it is the right thing to do. I think they offer great value and frequently humiliate "premier" clubs in state cup.

I also agree that many board members of local youth soccer associations are only there to make sure that their kid doesn't end up on a "B" team, than they are in strengthening their programs. True visionaries!

LaSalle has got talent across the board. They will win it. They have enough talent to cover for DA's kid who doesn't belong out there yet but the coach plays him anyway. There are kids sitting the bench who are way better than him but DA got the coach's son a job with the Revs so DA's son play full time. Way to buy your kid some playing time DA. Poor kid will fail when daddy's clout can't carry him anymore. Love high school politics!

You should really stop these attacks. I don't know anything about this team, but I feel I know something about you.

Here's a clue a D1 coach who bitterly begrudges players LaSalle obtains with little effort.

That's interesting. I am beginning to think that his posts should be removed. They are filled with hate and degradation directed at a specific kid and his father.

Just for the record, an SK daddy here. Watched LaSalle play SK last night, and was interested in seeing the LaSalle talent. At least for this game, this player was clearly talented as were at least a half-dozen players on the LaSalle team, with the standout being the all-stater occupying the middle. Got to see some explosiveness out of two or three of the forwards, including DA, but didn't see enough of DA because he seemed to play less than half the game; enough time to score one of LaSalle's two goals on a nice strike. So at least for this game, the poster's comments seem to be completely off-based on both the player and the coach.

LaSalle SMASHED SK last night. They couldn't even get a hold of the ball. They scored a lucky goal in the beginning and then never got another shot off on net. LaSalle totally dominated. And the SK parents were idiots and whining sore losers. Why can't people just watched a game and shut the heck up!

So the Lasalle coach's kid works for the Revolution now? That is definitely a bit suspicious. Although the above poster was harsh he does have a point. And if he is another coach in the divison well he does know a thing or two about high school soccer and what kids belong out there and what ones do not.

How do most people get their jobs? I do a good job for the company I work for but I only was hired initially because of who I knew. It happens all the time. And this kid he is berating obviously is not out there as much as the angry poster would like everyone to believe, but is good enough to score a goal while he is playing. The angry poster clearly has more problems than just this bizarre obsession with this family. The only point I take away from the angry poster is that he is a freak!

This guys not a D1 coach, his son sits the bench for lasalle because he's not good enough to play and he thinks he's waisted 11K.

If he sent his kid there just for soccer he deserves to lose 11K the dope. LaSalle is a fine high school and the boy will get a very good real education which is what the father should be pleased about.
