I don't think anyone is revelling in the kid's misfortune - more shocked by the arrogance of the club's administration. It's irresponsible to run a premier girls u-14 team and not have them working out during the winter for two months.

Rays should have got off their arse and found a place for them to work out - who cares if they play in a league, they should be working out.

Why do the parents put up with this? I blame them for going along with it. When you pay the fees for the year you usually know what the plans are.

That exactly why they suck as a club - when a coach leaves (and didn't take kids with him to another club) decimates your entire team - you have some really crappy infrastructure built into your club.

Face it - Rays star has shined and now they just mail it in. No coach will bring anymore teams to them in the future.

Some sympathy should be extended to this person. He is the dad of a young player who did not make the cut for the rays. As a result, his anger is extended towards the program and the administration. I would tell you with genuine sympathy and understanding that there are other options for you in RI--other teams would probably be happy to accept your daughter. WHether or not they would be happy to have you on the sideline is another question

I have not ever posted on here before, but i heard that this thread was going and yes--we all know who you are. i have to agree with the person who said that we should treat you with some sypathy. If you want to take out your frustrations about not making the rays by attacking them on this website, we understand. I also have to agree that although any team should be happy to have your child play for them, maybe the parents and coaches don't want you on the sideline. I know it sounds a bit harsh, but you are kind of a *****.

They don't. They are so off base on who they think this is. It's amusing to see how quick they are to point out the negativity while they have unfairly assumed some poor schmuck out there is complaining about his kid not making the team.

My kid was not cut by the rays I can certainly guarantee you that. You owe an apology to the guy you think this is - it's not him.
