You are a true credit to RI soccer and to our state in general. You are also living proof that indeed the RI educational system is among the weakest in the nation. However, what you lack in knowledge, you more than make up for in ignorance. I look forward to your next posts. Have a good day.

I was speaking more about the shift. The poster noted that at the younger age groups there aren't any good Rays groups, and instead there are Bayside teams.

I can tell you this U14 Rays are in serious trouble last I heard they were down to 8 or 9 players with no goalie. They haven't practice in months this group is done and it may happen by the spring.

That's surprising. I thought they had a tight group. I know they lost two players to the U15 team, but where did the rest go?

The U14 Rays lost a number of girls to high school who haven't come back to play spring. Lost 2 forwards to U15 and their keeper to Bruno. Rest of the girls are in limbo trying to find out what's going on. It's a shame because they have a great defender and striker who may have to find somewhere to play this spring

Word is they have to merge with Bruno 14 if they want to field enough players. They aren't even playing State Cup.

They lost a couple good, core players to high school, Bayside, Rays U13, and Rays U15. There whole center spine from goalie up to striker left. Guess no one wanted to play for JK.

Ridiculous that the kids haven't even practiced in 2 months being that most are trying to prepare for high school next year.

Sort of answers the question as to why no one wants to play for the Rays.

I has nothing to do with JK you moron. He was thrown into a bad situation when the previous coach decided to call it quits right after regionals. The previous coaching staff made no real commitment at summer tryouts to try to get new players to take the place of the ones that they knew were leaving. JK did the best he could in the fall with the players he had.

That is one of the problems the Rays have in general. There is no program direction - There really isn't any plan that I know of. It is all coach driven. If your coach is onto the team, then they will be fine. If there was a strong functional Rays club, this would not have happened.

What are they going to do about sub region by this time they have paid for it and if they cant play they will pay a fine of $500.00.

I don't think their application was accepted for sub-regional - I think they were put in the Northeast Premier.

That exactly why they suck as a club - when a coach leaves (and didn't take kids with him to another club) decimates your entire team - you have some really crappy infrastructure built into your club.

Face it - Rays star has shined and now they just mail it in. No coach will bring anymore teams to them in the future.
