Why all the outrage? Is it a lie? No, they can't score. The results of the scorp tournament proved they don't have enough talent.

Point is who gives a crap! You seem to have a personal vendetta against this particular team and I was curious as to why. The Jefferson Cup is a prestigious event. I don't think there are any really weak divisions. So I take it your team did not get accepted?

Our U12 bayside girls played in the lowest division at Jefferson and it was not filled with weak teams.

thoughts for the U15 and U16 age groups (others can chime in for the younger and older groups if they choose)

U15--seems like the Rays are getting some good reviews, but also Bayside and South County have nothing to be ashamed of as far as their Scorpion Bowl performance. THis bracket will be wide open come state cup time--even Blackeatch and Bruno could come out strong in May.

U16--overall not as strong of an age group unfortunately, but I would call this one for Bruno if they get their roster back up to what it was last year. Their Scorpion Bowl performance was strong, and the competition in this bracket is not up to their level. Two things to consider--TW could gel around its highly skilled players and they have a solid coach--don't count them out yet. Also, the Bayside Stompers coach is well known here in RI by those who have been around this game for awhile. He is probably analyzing what they need to work on and all bets are on that he will have that team playing much stronger soccer come May. But for now, I go with Bruno.

First of all the bruno performance in scorpion bowl was not as great as you think. they scored 3 goals...2 from guest players. they struggled mightily vs the stars THIRD...yes THIRD team. Lost to a team tw beat in mps handily...btw ask them how they did this weekend in sub regional... forfeited 2 games... couldn't even field a team...I will put my money on tw...they will be just fine!

It seems as though Bruno's U16 team is no more. If my kid were on that team and still wanted to play you can bet that I would be looking for alternatives. It's a pretty common age for teams to start falling apart. You have kids that are looking ahead to college and have decided that playing soccer in college is not what they want. And you have parents that realize that their kid just doesn't have what it takes to make it in college and lose interest too.

Let's talk record at end of the year. And I will admit that there are about three or four players who if their parwmts had any sense they wouldn't have blindly chosen to join bruno last year could have made tw a great team . There is no excuse for this year though the writing was on the wall. Hope you are getting your moneys worth. We sure will. Even a loss versus good competition has to ne better for development of a team than forfeits

What is so confusing? Many clubs have multiple teams in many age groups. Actually a good sign for a club.

I would say a very good sign, especially when other clubs at this age are struggling to put together a team and forfeiting games.
