For some reason, the records and standings for Eastern division boys have been completely changed. Anybody know why?

I think they changed them just to drive obsessed parents like you cRazY:)

One of the cool thinks about the middle school season is the lack of inter-divisional games. When you go play the other divisions in the finals, it is definitely more fun!

LOL! Yes, there's definitely something wrong with me :)

Everyone with grown kids tells me to enjoy it now while my kids are playing - it's over fast. So, I'm trying to get my money's worth :)

I'm with you. I never miss a game.

I hope you're not one of those loud mouth, Ref bashing, Kid coaching parents though!

Power Rankings - Boys middle school

There are many ways to look at a teams potential but the ratio between goals-against and goals-for, historically has been pretty close. Not that there can't be surprises. But typically big differences hold up in the end. The top nine are good teams but the top three are probably excellent teams. The bottom 20 are weak with the bottom 10 being very weak.

Interesting....but how can you rate MSC and North cumberlan ahead of Lincoln when Lincoln tied and then beat both head-to-head? JB

This is only one way to look at a teams potential to win in the big picture. Especially when looking at multi-divisional, untested match-ups. Doesn't mean that Lincoln wouldn't beat those teams every time out. But in a play-off situation, And playing teams with no history, Lincoln will probably have a tougher time due to the lack of scoring vs. being scored against.

Also the top 9 have the potential to go far in the play-offs. But it will take an up-set to beat the top3.

Got it. Very well done. It will be fun to see how it plays out over the next 2 weeks.

Can you do the girls' teams, too?

Interesting..have only seen south/central teams..Curtis corner won south, but some close games..not dominant..hard to tell if that is because south is overall a more deeper group than the others that seem to have 1 or 2 dominant teams.. Wickford didn't make playoffs but was 10th in rankings..that team starts 9 7th graders so should be tough next year.
