Having a poor 1st touch, not a huge deal at 11, you get to sit on the bench in college. Can't pass with both feet, college teams will see that on film and take advantage of it. Dribble into traffic, they will let you do that all day. Defensive angles and cover are rarely taught at the HS level. It's a mainstay on a college team. They will eat you up if you can only play direct.
I am not defending FF, it's not like he taught them to play and they forgot, he didn't. He was cut from the same cloth, you just can be more successful at it, if winning is how you judge success, at the younger ages.
Ukies didn't outplay them, they weren't good enough to handle the speed or the pressure. They did have more possession, mainly because Bucks are a transition team and never try to build out. They cannot put together pass strings, so they tactically choose to play very direct and up the sides. There was not a huge difference in the quality of play, though they try to play tactically very different styles.
DC knew he needed to win games, that was his directive from the board, who knew they were on the verge of losing ECNL on both boys and girls side. He did the job he was hired to do. He and Chris won enough that ECNL didn't pull the badge. On the boys side PAD merger happened because the Bucks boys coaches were unable to be competitive
ECNL was never pulling the badge. Bucks is founding member.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation
Most GA teams focus on technical skill, possession and playing the right way. Seems like ECNL is all about speed and physicality.

That is crazy. If you had any experience in the women’s college game it’s a track race. Get real.

No they are not. In fact they weren't even present in 2008 when CL made the proposal in Vegas. They were part of the first expansion. There were 40 clubs who are founding members out of the 65 that were at that meeting. 35 are still members

Moreso at the lower levels where schools cannot attract better players. And definitely not on the boys side. There is a difference between a track match and the high press which happens because of liberal substitution rules.

Agreed. If you want to learn real soccer play in GA. The athleticism is natural cannot be learned

Guys… did we watch UNC in the national championship game. Talk to any women’s coach off the record. Athleticism is the number one trait. GA doesn’t care about technical ability. This is an unreal take

What’s the issue? Tied a good PAC GA 06 team. Good result.

Props to the Ukies for acknowledging the kids who are committed and graduating and putting together a night to celebrate them. Not all clubs, teams or even coaches do that for their players. Some like to just ignore it all. It’s a nice way for the players to end their club journey. Others, take note.

All the ECNL clubs do this.

least a club could do considering all the money and time players and parents put into these clubs. Kudos to the ukies for taking the time to celebrate and recognize
