People keep saying youth soccer doesn't matter given what is going on in the world - if that is true, why is FC Bucks the only club doing nothing
Good to give the players a nice long physical and mental break. Especially with what’s going on in the world today.

Just so we are clear, so you believe that FC Bucks giving its players "a nice long physical and mental break" is the correct approach, and every other ECNL club, and many of the local EDP clubs are wrong for continuing to engage their players in various ways.

I believe so. Spring soccer is over which means the season is over. With tryouts moving to fall or winter for most teams (no fall season for this age group) it seems to be the right time to give kids a break. These teams won’t be back on the field together until next spring anyway.

Correct Bucks is worried about the kids and families while all the other clubs care about $$$$$ and not much else.

Maybe have your mommy email the coaches to find out.

I am not aware of any clubs charging anything additional for the steps they have taken during this crisis to keep players engaged. A zoom call costs nothing. Recording some training videos to YouTube costs nothing.

Agreed. Bucks as is typical has not been proactive and have not even tried a little bit to keep their players engaged. Bucks has had zero communication. The clubs that come out of this the strongest will be the ones that have actively kept their players, and families involved in the sport they love. Bucks has demonstrated they do not care at all for the players in their organization- bucks just cares about the money. Sad, bigly.

I don’t think it’s that complex. The DOC does not know what he is doing! It’s not that he doesn’t care, he just doesn’t know what he is doing, and doesn’t relate well to the players, families and playing at the ECNL level. This can’t change. The guys running the club don’t know what they are doing, so what do you expect? It’s not them being malicious, it’s just incompetence.

I agree. It’s over. Tryouts will be in January for most of these clubs. Some clubs are going out of business. Tons of coaches are being laid off right now. I don’t personally know any parents worried about contact between their club/coach and their kids. Vast majority of parents are more worried about their jobs and health.

Sports will come back eventually next year. Right now it’s more about ones health and safety.

Everyone is worried for their own jobs and health. But at the same time, I am also worried about maintaining some normalcy for my kids. For them, normalcy includes soccer in some form. Virtually every other soccer club in this area has figured out how to provide this to their members.

The fact that FC Bucks has chosen to do nothing should tell you something about how FC Bucks views its customers - they view us as stupid, unthinking, unquestioning sheep, who will fall in line, fork over big checks, regardless of how bad they treat their customers and how bad their product/service offering is. They know that when this is over, there will likely be enough stupid parents who are enamored with a patch, to continue forking over checks. That is the operating model of a basement dwelling club.

The better clubs - the real ECNL clubs strive to be better and strive to at least provide a good product to its customers - even in hard times such as this.

Absolutely. Changes in leadership can quickly solve the problem.

Then move on to one of those clubs. Why cry on the internet about your precious Mia not getting silly soccer drills? At some point your pride has to kick in. Not trying to be mean. But you post the same thing everyday. Move to one of those clubs so you’ll be happy. Simple really.

This is so ridiculous to read the parents on here defending this coach for his lack of communication at a time when your kids need it most. What kind of coach doesn’t show interest or ANY thought at all about these girls - specifically during this time? And your dad coach, the one who always emailed and is your coach’s right hand man, has fallen silent too. Your team, this 06 one specifically, is damaged beyond repair. Hoping your daughters aren’t this naive to believe this is normal.

Most ridiculous post of the day. Keep it coming! Still time to win.
