ECNL RL is awful would be embarrassing if that’s the top league we play in, might as well join Alliance league that is on par with RL

So if your daughter was offered a spot on the ECNL RL team and the only other choice was to play on a team that is in EDP what would you do??

So in essence you are saying the only leagues worth playing in is the one your daughter is in, you have trashed the EDP league, trashed specific teams including our own and now you are saying you would play in a local league...you must really need that participation medal

RL is trash. Bucks has ecnl contract for another 5 years. The wait is on if change is made back to school year vs staying at birth year.

And Alliance league (whatever that is)might top ECNL RL as another $ grab league created for academy b and c teams, maybe even d in some cases. I don’t understand how people even accept playing in these leagues, do your research and homework!

-If FC bucks were to lose ECNL (which I doubt)., but hypothetically- how many people would actually stay on this team and even at the club. The only thing the club really has going for it is the patch. Training is poor and infrequent, coaches are mediocre at best and facilities are sorely lacking.

There would be a mass exodus. Something to think about. Because the patch alone ain’t getting your kid into a D1 program without training, and coaching the patch don’t matter.

Facilities arent an issue.

If they lose the ECNL (which isn't going to happen) my kid will try out for another ECNL team or if she wants to skip HS soccer a DA team. If she doesn't make any of those I would not have a problem paying for her to play ECNL-RL at FC Bucks. YMS, SJEB, PSA and maybe even Ukies would/could be options. Haddonfield Soccer Club, I mean Real FC is way down on the list.

I think it was a mistake to call it RL. I’ve heard it often referred to as “Rec League” which is unfair. Hopefully they eventually change the name to something that differentiates it more from ECNL.

The RL goes to the same clubs as the ECNL (except for a few) just like in every age group and league some teams are better than others, we have not improved since last year and didn't even qualify for the top bracket in Jeff Cup; to say that the whole RL league is trash is unfair to those teams/clubs/players that put their all in to get their all out of it. A shame that this thread has stopped focusing on our team and has evolved to trashing anyone who doesn't agree with the majority on the team and trashing the RL team/league. Unfortunately when the BRD was brokered no one thought about the long team affects and how it would affect the reputation it would have on the team/age group and club.
