Remember, a big chunk of this team was "picked" because the girls could run faster than players on other teams when they played on small 9v9 fields, and to keep a carpool together - not because they were good at soccer or better at soccer than other kids who tried out. DC should show some balls and get rid of ZB too - she too has never had to really "try out" for the team and was only given a spot because of her Daddy.
Just be happy the kids from the U12 Bucks team 3 years ago were not picked for the ECNL. They were really bad. Unathletic parents are to blame!

Daddy ball is never good. Its not just the Daddy coach's child, but also their children's friends, and the Daddy's friends. Never good to have a parent involved, brings in way too much bias, unless there are controls in place. Once the daddy is installed as a coach, its becomes difficult to do the right thing, because clubs fear the risk of losing a team. I watched a local daddy coach at at highly regarded local club, basically destroy 2 age groups when US Soccer switched to calendar year age cut off. Kept the best 04 players
so that his that his child's team (03's) would be kept intact, and essentially the same. When asked to step down from coaching the team, guess what- he took the entire team elsewhere. This particular club still has some Daddy ball going on. You would think that they would have learned their lesson.

Actually hurt more than 2 age groups - when asked in a coaches meeting RF said to go age pure - since that is where US Soccer switched to - he wasn't listened to and FCB tried to manipulate parents by keeping "friends" together since they were playing together for years, etc. experiment failed - ended up going age pure the following year (after the BRD) messed with the 2006 age group

How about when the daddy is not only the coach but also the VP of the club. The FC Bucks 2006 team is literally exhibit A of how a daddy coached ruined an entire age group at the club. TBH we were reluctant to agree to the deal BB was selling but went along bc our kid wanted to stay with her friends. Biggest mistake we ever could have made was going along with the BRD - should have gone with delco which was our first instinct. Live and learn

This age group is a disaster but the 05s are not too far behind at this pace.

Truth! The 2005’s are imploding before our eyes. Chalk up another team that became a disaster bc of another BRD involving Roumy, burns and McClain. They are getting everything and more that they deserve- and have royally screwed their kids in these prime recruiting years. Karma always wins.

It’s crazy how the business of youth soccer is ruining the experience for so many deserving and hardworking kids.

Yes, the business side of it ruins things, but so do delusional parents -delusional parents who think their kid is a superstar yet refuse to subject them to real competition.

Hope they don’t fall to hard. Odds are CM and DC will not last at bucks. CM has been at three different clubs the last three years and with his team literally imploding highly unlikely he sticks around.

CM is on the hot seat at Nova. His total focus should be the college program right now and I am sure he knows. I would not count on any Nova staff to be around a year from now.

Can FCB parents boot the club management that made this silly decision in the first place? They should be held accountable for this disaster.

FCB parents can do a lot of things - they just have to be willing to stop writing checks. When the checks stop coming in, change will happen. If the checks keep coming in, nothing will ever change.

That once proud programme has become an utter disaster. Women’s soccer must not be a priority at the university.
