Sorry, cant say .... would be a dead giveaway ... so few kids leave ECNL even though it would be prudent for most (starters and bench players). It is surprising to me that so many players stay on really bad teams thinking they are getting something good.

Totally agree - blinded by the patch, and bragging rights to say my little Mia plays on an ECNL team. As if anyone really cares.

Doesn’t seem like the poster is bashing the girls but rather the coaching staff and management. It is run completely like a rec team.

The whole club is run like a rec club, but the ECNL patch carries a lot of weight.

Someone mentioned NL as a good league, far from it if you compare with ECNL and DA which are far superior in quality top to bottom. Reality is that a top level NL team would struggle competing against lower level ECNL and DA teams. Not sure why some people are so enamored with NL it’s basically EDP with another fancy national name on it.

Please put the crack down .... most of GDA were in leagues like NL just 2 years ago and many still suck. Plenty of terribly ECNL teams too ... you need to get over yourself and your leagues. Plenty of good teams in neither.

Ranking only means anything when you directly compare it to the rankings of the teams we actually play against. Yes, we are ranked better than many local rec clubs, as we should be. But when compared with our "peers" other ECNL teams, particularly those in the Northeast, we are right in the middle, or slightly below the middle - and he have either lost or tied most of the teams that are ranked below us.

I also don't think anyone is bashing the girls. For the most part they are a talented bunch. Sure, some of them wouldn't make this team if it weren't for the BRD, but none of them is a bad player. It is just unfortunate that their club and their coach has failed them and caused them to decline rather than live up to their potential.

Believing a patch means something, even though the team barely trains, has a fully checked out coach, and a dad coach running the show is no different than believing that being ranked 92 actually means anything of significance. If all the parents opened their eyes and demanded more from the club, perhaps their patch would mean something, and perhaps a ranking would mean something. But as long as complacency rules, this team will be stuck in mediocracy.

Because that means no one will challenge their kids spots, or actually demand a real coach and not a dad.

#92 in the country? In the last 2 years alone, this team lost to MD Rush, Arlington (and a tie), Total FA FC VA, CEFC Cleveland, Baltimore Union, SJEB, Real Jersey (twice), NJ Premier, Richmond Strikers

and had 1-goal games with Princeton, Keystone Premier, Pipeline, FC Revs, NJ Premier, NEFC West, Great Falls??, Sunrise (tie), Philly Coppa, Montgomery United, Richmond Kickers (tie)

Those are just the schleps that they played here and there .... plenty of additional losses to low level ECNL teams as well. This team is not very good and falling fast, so take your #92 ranking and keep it. It appears that there are far more than 92 better teams in the northeast alone (probably outside ECNL and GDA).

rankings are king with the NE Philly/Bucks crowd. Rankings at U13 mean nothing!

Facts - there are 15 Northeast ECNL teams. We are right in the middle - there are 7 teams above us and 7 below us. We have won 2 games against teams ranked higher than us - one of those was over a year ago. Agains the teams that are currently ranked below us, we have lost 2 and tied 5. And yes, we have 8 wins against those teams, 6 of them are against Maryland, PDA White and Continental, ranked 148, 211 and 347 respectively.

Put another way - we are ranked 8th out of 15th in the NE ECNL. The majority of our wins have come across the teams that are ranked 13, 14, and 15. We have also most recently tied the 13, 14 and 15 ranked teams.

So I do believe the facts support that this team is the very definition of mediocre - and if you dig a little deeper the facts support a decline in this team's record.
