I am an NPL parent and I truly feel sorry for you. I remember when everyone thought the Deep Run/FC Bucks North team was the next best thing since sliced bread. They had a couple of girls who could outrun opponents on a baby 9v9 field. Actual soccer skill and soccer IQ - not so much. Just a couple of girls who would run fast with their heads down. They had a great record and were ranked really high on gotsoccer (which means nothing). The Parents started to believe their kids were the best soccer players ever - all destined for the Olympics and D1 schools. They had their own YouTube channel. They were so confident that their kids were legit superstars that when it came time for the Deep Run and CRUSA teams to combine, they demanded that their superstars be kept together and be allowed to continue their incredible run towards girls soccer domination. BB latched on, thinking his kid could also become a superstar. The parents got their wish, and the backroom deal at Joe Malone's house finalized the deal.

Then the size of the soccer field expanded. The number of players went from 9 to 11. The ECNL competition got better and faster. The practices went from 2 times a week to 1. The coaching went from Audrey to a dad coach. All of a sudden, just keeping your head down, and trying to run faster than someone wasnt cutting it. All of a sudden girls couldn't rely on their athleticism alone and they werent able to get by with little to no soccer skills and super low soccer IQs. Then the losses started. First it was to top ECNL teams. Then losses and ties to teams that are not considered top ECNL teams started. All of a sudden, these poor parents had to confront reality. They had to start to confront the notion that their superstars who such a short time ago were destined for girls soccer domination, were just average. Barely. They had to start confronting the idea that their little superstars werent going to make the olympics and werent going to all get D1 scholarships. This was shocking to them. It shocked them to their cores. Everything they believed in – put their hopes and dreams in, turned out not to be true. Devastating. Then the checks they started writing for this started to get bigger. Next year’s will get even larger!! And on top of all of this they had to make peace with the idea that they were driving their former little superstars over 1 hr each way to practice, which seemed like a small price to pay when girls soccer domination was in the cards – but not so much any more. Now on top of all of this they are being publicly called out. People questioning their former little superstars legitimacy. Its hard. Its hard because these poor parents are still coming to terms with reality but others are calling them out faster than they can accept it.

So yeah, Im an NPL parent. We are under no illusions that our daughter is going to be the next Carly Lloyd. My daughter never tried out for the ECNL team. She enjoys playing soccer and we all enjoy being grounded in reality and the NPL team has served us just fine in terms of what we are looking for. My heart bleeds for you. No parent should have to face such utter disappointment of the likes that each of you have had to face. You can feel the frustration and disappointment with each and every post. I am sure it is difficult. Im sure trying to blame someone else makes it feel a little better. Reality can be funny like that some times. As you continue your journey and continue to confront and be confronted with reality, I wish you the best. The sooner you accept it, the easier it will get for you. God speed.

Just what exactly would an NPL parent get out of posting here. Most of them have already played for RF and/or BB and have no desire to do so again. Do you think these people are secretly clamoring to get on board an obviously sinking ship. Perhaps they have seen how great the ECNL team is and how great their record is and are just dying to get their kids on such a good team Do you think they are secretly desiring the "expert" coaching of a dad coach, over their own qualified professional coach, who they all seem to like, and who seems to actually show up. Maybe they are all looking to reduce their current commitment of 2 practices a week down to 1, so their kids can sit home and go on scary walks. Maybe they are all after the highly coveted coaching feedback and developmental plans that RF provides all of this players. Or maybe they just really really want to spend an extra couple grand in travel expenses each year to lose ECNL tournaments or to go to showcases where no one is actually being showcased because your team is known as the dregs of ECNL. Yep. Im sure its the NPL parents. Definitely.

Total BS to say there was no backroom deal.

BB was manipulating the situation well before the backroom deal. Well before tryouts -still in the Spring season, As manager of the CRUSA FC Bucks team, he was getting calls from Audrey asking if there were any guest players available. Rather than put a message out to the team, he just sent his own daughter and her bestie to guest play for the FC Bucks North team several times.

The backroom deal meeting took place in Joe Malone’s living room. I was there. RF was there. BB was there and CF was there.

At this meeting, the FC Bucks North parents basically made it known it was an “all or nothing deal.” And of course this somehow had now included BBs daughter and her bestie.

BB whole heartedly supported this idea for two reasons – (1) He believed they were the better team and he wanted his daughter to be on what he perceived to be the better team and (2) – More importantly, he also didn’t want any other players on the team that would be the same year as his daughter and going to Council Rock South High School. He wanted his daughter to be the only 2024 Council Rock South player on ECNL. To some degree making his daughter the only Council Rock ECNL player has worked out well – last year in middle school about 90 girls tried out for soccer. The first tryout all the girls did was run. BB’s daughter didn’t attend any other tryouts because she was sick. Yet somehow she still made varsity. How does someone make varsity without even showing up a tryout? Well, Im sure a call from daddy saying she is the ONLY one on ECNL didn’t hurt.

The sooner we all realize that BB is in this for no other reason than HIMSELF AND HIS OWN KID, the better off we will all be. His ONLY goal in all of this is to get his daughter to play high school soccer at CR South and a College Scholarship somewhere. Every single one of us is just a pawn to be used by him to get to that goal. If you think he wont toss you aside as soon as you are no longer useful to him in accomplishing this goal, then you are a fool.

It all makes sense now - guess the reason FF threatened to cut kids whose parents post on here was because he didn’t want the truth about th whole back room deal getting out. To bad FF couldn’t control word of mouth and NPL parents posting. Wow this whole thread and it’s evolution is jaw dropping. Worse than I could even imagine.

Sure they did and I have some swampland to sell you in Florida. The NPL team has a far bigger roster than the “ECNL” team I’m sure they are not worried. The “ECNL” team should be worried with their small roster and horrible reputation. We will now refer to it as the”ECNL” team bc it’s not a legit ECNL team, but rather a back door deal ECNL team.

I am not affiliated with either of these teams (bucks ecnl or npl) but after reading this today it got me thinking about which team is better:

I looked at a good ranking site (not GotSoccer - that's junk) to compare the 2 teams:

Bucks NPL (Ecnl-R) is ranked #22 in PA East

Bucks ECNL is ranked #96 nationally (very good)
Bucks NPL (Ecnl-R) is ranked #843 nationally (not good at all)

That is the unbiased numbers.

So no contest here.
