My kids play there and no one has ever said that.

Slammers charge $2100.00. Never once was ECNL dangled out in front of parents. I can see why people assume ECNL with the affiliation that the Slammers have on the West Coast. Not here not yet.

I think you are confusing this group with the Smithtown Slammers not the LI Slammers. The town teams have very sketchy training and daddy trainers running things and I would agree that that is not worth it. I think this is worth a look. I saw the kids scrimmaging at the tryouts and they looked good. Wasn't a bunch of townie school ball players. They definitely attracted some quality players to the team pool.

Some do seem better than others.

-You can have a license to practice law and still be a sucky lawyer.
-You can have a license to drive a car and still be a sucky driver (we are all reminded of this daily driving to work on the lie, nsp, ssp).
-You can have a license to be a doctor and still suck.
-you can have a license to cut hair and still suck.
-You can have a license to be an architect/engineer and still suck.
in summary, i will take someone with talent over a someone with a license that is as worthless as the paper its printed on any day of the week.
