Too bad the competition locally is terrible.....so there's that.
Yuck. As was pointed out by another poster - so much for the blah blah blah about soccer actually building character or teaching about being a team player or making sacrifices.

NY regs - how many will comply? Our school district sent out a reminder to families last weekend saying families better have followed the guidelines before sending kids to school and I've heard of employers doing the same. Some states aren't allowing this kind of team travel at all, again how much enforced? Go ahead and go if you want/feel the need. Just be smart as your travel and do the right thing when you return.
"For any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 and higher country, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 10-day quarantine are below:
-For travelers who were out-of-state for more than 24 hours:
-Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York.
-The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.
-On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test.

details: note there are a few exemptions for essential workers but going to a soccer tournament is anything but essential https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/sy...l_advisory.pdf

This Susa u18 game right now is horrible. Looks like an LIJ game, long ball to nobody, blindly passing to nobody, can't keep the ball on the ground. This is ecnl soccer???

Calm down. You are watching middle class suburban girls playing some youth soccer not a pro game.

IKR? I mean don't these posters realize who they are dealing with here? I mean this is youth girls soccer we are talking about....sorry but we are just really really special and can't be asked to sacrifice playing soccer against the really really special teams full of other youth players from other nice suburbs in other states.
Yuck. As was pointed out by another poster - so much for the blah blah blah about soccer actually building character or teaching about being a team player or making sacrifices.

A positive of this weekends ECNL showcase is the Live streaming of the teams matches. To be able to watch my daughters team as well as all the matches is a great plus. I hope this continues.

Run more and more localized events that avoid planes, hotels , etc.....provide the footage and the recruiting can go while still contributing to controlling the spread of the virus.
Please.
