No offers, but a good amount of invites for OVs date TBD based on campus re-openings. Looks like some schools are comfortable bypassing the "ID clinic" stage or at least that was the impression they gave.

What else do you want to know?
Don't be surprised if she quits, it happens more than people admit, even after accepting a scholarship offer.....

Aren't you a ray of sunshine. Yes a few players may decide to bail before college starts but it's pretty rare. Once in college, more will stop playing - they get cut, quit because of no PT or burnout. Yet the majority will still go on to play through school. It's important to acknowledge that it can happen, but it's also important that there is a good fit with the team and school to better your odds of success. Going in with the attitude that "this may be temporary" isn't a good idea

Is your player on a GAL team? I'd be surprised if any of those players got any feedback from colleges; unless they kept their expectations low. It'll only be worse for those GAL players as time passes; whether there's a season or not. The talent on those teams is so weak and they missed out on a crucial spring season. Then their league collapses and now they are aspiring to "develop" under a new banner. I hope those GALs have been studying....

There are some good players in GAL and bad players in ECNL. Coaches recruit players, not teams or badges. that said I totally agree GAL is very shaky. It may not even make it a year.

I couldn't imagine, for the life of me, coming on a board to comment about something of which I have absolutely nothing to do with.

Where does this obsession come from?

They arent GA players. They were DA players and now they are either in GA, ECNL, ECRL, NPL, EDP, etc.

The best ones, who would have been recruited, will likely still be. None of the league stuff matters as much as the player herself and what her situation is on her team/club.

Not OP and not a parent of a GAL player and not a dlck (well, at least not in this instance, lol). Of course GAL players got interest and feedback from coaches, you can't deny that those GDA showcases were heavily attended. Coaches had been watching 2004 GDA players for the past year or so, the same way they were watching ECNL players. Just because the league collapsed, doesn't mean the player suddenly sucks.
Nobody can say definitively what GAL is going to look like, competition wise. We can all speculate-"It'll be the same or close to GDA", "It's gonna be way lower after ECNL defections", but the truth is-nobody really knows. I doubt it will affect offers & committments of 2004s. If it's still a strong league, it won't affect anything. If the level of competition is significantly lower, a college coach *may* strongly suggest the recruit look at the possibility of playing in ECNL (they used to do that with high level NPL players that impressed at ODP National Events and such), but it would probably be for 2021-22 season if it happened, not this upcoming season.
I get we all pound our chests on these boards, but this shlt is real for these kids & families and most of us will keep the BS rhetoric to a minimum. I'm guessing that's why nobody was posting about it! The vultures on this forum are always swarming...

The best ones, who would have been recruited, have jumped off the GAL train already.

While they recruit players, you're fooling yourself if you think coaches don't care what league that player plays in. Granted, MAAC, NEC, lower level mid-major programs don't put a ton of stock in it, but a certain MAAC school was boasting about their ALL ECNL recruiting class on Social Media recently, so there's some stock. Also coaches that don't see the player as an "immediate impact" player, assume the kid will spend the first year getting up to speed anyway.

But you can be sure that P5s and high level mid-majors, 100% care about what league the player plays in. Those coaches want the players playing the strongest competition possible heading into their program.

Hahaha, music is frowned upon, but I like it...

Try recording yourself singing it will show how interested you are.

If you just recite over and over how much money you have they will take her for sure.
