Usually, when a team loses their top scorer, their craftiest midfielder, their fastest winger and their strongest defender-the team becomes much weaker and suffers competitively. BUT, if that's the case across the board with just about ALL the GAL teams, all of the teams will be much weaker so the decreased level of competition won't be as obvious.

Rather, the serious player with an eye on the next level realizes that results don't matter. As much as those who are worried too much about their kid's experience concentrate on that too much, that's not the reality. Nobody, except for the FB memory that pops up for mom and dad years later, will ever care how individual games go for a 15 year old.
Besides, from what I've read about STA on this very board, doesn't seem like much of a loss and the team was already junk. So, surprised to see them (the few, the 3-4, the plethora, what have you) so easily slide right onto an ECNL roster and others pushed aside without much of a thought about them.
