    "Some club in Texas"

"Why do I care about a club in Texas?"

"I don't know, but there's a whole group of people who are concerned about a club 1500 miles away, so I wondered if we should be, too"

    "Dad, are you an idiot?"
"No Honey, I am not an idiot, but since there are not good teams in the Northeast in DA, I figured that you might want want to consider something else rather than sticking around for 10 months in a trash league hoping to play the one or two decent teams in the entire league that are in TX or SoCal at some expensive showcase. If you like constantly competing against the other trash loaded with kids that can not make their HS varsity teams either then carry on."

"Hey kiddo, I know that you love your team and you are very comfortable. However, as we have seen over the last # of seasons, the landscape for girl soccer is always changing. From birth year to the formation of GDA. It looks like the GDA experiment is failing and many teams locally and nationally are leaving for ECNL. unfortunately, your club is most likely not going to be admitted into the ECNL so it would be a good idea for us to consider Plan B. This would be to check out World Class. I hear they have excellent coaches and you will soon learn that there are nice girls on every team and some that are not so nice just like your current team, how does that sound?"

"swell dad, thanks for being so level headed"

Once NYCFC folded back into ECNL, the DA around here was done....

"World Class? Isn't that the Club who's DOC was kicked out of a game and almost beat up a ref? You really want me to go there?"

"No absolutely not. I know you love your team, get excellent coaching, and are encouraged to keep doing exactly what you are doing by the colleges we are talking to. I'm also really glad you don't get caught up in the details that don't concern you or your club. Thanks for being so level headed and not trying to chase results of a youth soccer league."

WCFC has really turned things around over the last couple of years. It is nice to see a club that has teams developing at the younger age groups. Looking at clubs around us, it seems that the other clubs in either the GDA or ECNL just try to acquire players.

What is the right age to make the switch? I'm sure by U15 it's probably hard to make the switch

It (was) tough for my kid, but she is tough, tougher than me, no sacrifice, no reward.

You just love bringing that up, you must the ref that he was going to choke. The entire scene has been misrepresented by 1 guy these last 2 years. Basically the WC coach was growing annoyed by the lack of calls against a certain opposing player against one of his players, according to people who were there, because I asked, they said the WC coach did the right thing to protect his player, even if that meant getting thrown out of the game, and NO he did not touch the ref, but he did call him a disgrace, which was fair given the details I heard.....

                    "You heard"

                    Bingo.

What I saw? 18 players standing on the field jaws agape while some ***** loses his entire load of shlt on a ref because he didn't like the calls. Ref let a lot go, sure, so (to your point) he wants to choke a ref out.

Gets thrown out of a game.

                    Of his own tournament.

                    In a U12 soccer game

What I heard, from the sideline parent I was talking to?

"Yeah, he's a problem. Not the first time he's lost it lick that."

I don't believe the rumors that many players went home and verbally assaulted their stuffies that night because they took their queue from the Club's leadership.

Right, because standing on the sideline watching a game between two teams you are not associated with (because yours is next) recording it isn't creepy. No, not at all.

Now, if I expected it to happen you are damn right I would've recorded it. Dude would be famous right now. Internet loves to see *****s like that lose it during kid's youth activities.

                        Internet gold. Gold, Jerry. Gold.

Let me guess, you are at NYSC where the DOC was sued for negligence when he was coaching White Plains Girls Soccer.

Nope. But, I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of those kids that prlck was "coaching" that day file as well for emotional distress.

Tough when it comes from the top. Easy to see where the culture comes from.

Whenever someone praises WCFC this guy posts the same thing. It's the only thing he's got Makes me think he is a DOC at NYSC. Get over this, it happened 3 years ago, and every parent on the team he was coaching thanked him for sticking up for their kids after the game.

You must be a veteran of these boards, spot-on. Hard to believe its NOT another person, the wording is precise, if you know where to look, I say 90% chance same guy. That being said, like I said, if your kid was on that team, you would be very happy that he put their physical safety first, **** this game, this is a joke, we’re done here. My daughter is about to graduate, and has lost her ability to shine her senior year, something they all are hurting about, lets discuss how impactful this has been on them???
