You all suck, NYCFC is the only legit club in NY....Barca or Susa who is best of the worst, lmao losers
NYCFC is crap just ask Claudio Reyna, he wouldn’t leave his kid at that academy either. More news coming soon about what a crock NYCFC is. They don’t care about the youth academy or players. It’s a joke for a professional academy.

The kid wanted to try to play in Europe. Nycfc woukd have signed him and held him prisoner forever. Good on Reyna for not holding his kid back.

So you agree that NYCFC would have held him back and isn’t the best option for someone who wants to be a professional. It’s a glorified “premier” team playing under a “professional” banner.

We agree that there was no better option than NYCFC in North America. To get better training have to go overseas.
That still leaves Barca and Susa as fighting it out for best of the worst.

Are we talking boys or girls here, because on the boys side, SUSA is a non issue. They're completely 100% irrelevant for boys. There are several town clubs that I would bring my son to before i would ever consider SUSA.

I would put several US Academies and most Mexican academies ahead of NYCFC. The training at Barca is better than training at NYCFC. NYCFC just has better talent but not better development. There is a big difference between more talent and better development. When your kid gets cut from NYCFC because he didn’t develop and they found better talent you will be fighting it out to get on one of those best of the worst clubs.

Agreed - been following the NY-area DA situation for a few years now, and, general impression of NYCFC is that their success on the field simply comes from recruiting the most talented players in the area. Their coaching/training isn't really any better than you would find at other places - and in fact, in some cases, it's worse. I know of 1 particular player who left NYCFC voluntarily because he didn't believe that being there was helping him develop into a better player. Not something you would expect from a professional team's youth academy.
