Not exactly an expert in all of this so forgive me, but I looked up this team you guys are talking about. Let me get this straight... This team won the NY Cup, Eastern NY state cup, made it to the US club national finals, came in 2nd in National League, and performed really well in Disney, Jefferson Cup and Potomac (I think these are good tournaments...). Given this, you are really trying to claim this team is not being taught the right way? I know gotsoccer doesn't determine everything but that is pretty damn impressive. Give credit when it's due. Don't blame it on recruiting either. Every program is always recruiting.

The 2003 team is a great team. But it is also a prime example of a team that keeps bringing in players long after tryouts. Last fall they added at least 5 players late summer/early fall after initially telling a bunch of the Legion players that they were also going to get significant playing time with the Dynamite.

Come on-TG houses kids from Ghana-if it wasn’t for those kids they would be average and TG would still be nothing

I agree-LGN is so poorly run, lack of organization, surprise of increase of prices, and kid trainers. Left last June, happy to be moved on

Also a useless board at LGN as the president will smile and yes you to death. Complete moron that gets nothing done. the club has raised prices significantly over the last couple of years. we left before last season and heard they are raising prices again but spinning it as its less. charged ref fees in registration last year but board would not give teams the ref money to pay refs?? they charged twice as much for field fees from previous year yet every practice was twice as congested as the previous years. you pay more but get less and the president and board members kids probably getting free rides. Lack of competence on the playing/practice field combined with severe ineptitude from the board make all the other idiots in surrounding clubs look good.
I'd rather pay susa fees and at least know what i'm getting

I have dealt with the President of Lake Grove Soccer. James aka Shamis is a simpleton, basically he's a little smarter than a rock. Blame can be shared all around here for how bad this club really is. Hopefully parents realize and choose to go to any of the other surrounding idiots as you say, at least you know what you pay up front and dont get suprised by additional fees throughout the year. I aslo hear his wife is now the treasurer, wonder where all the money is going. "Things that make you go HMMM" should be the name of the club.

There is no point unless you know who its coming from, therefore why engage in anonymous forums such as this or backofthenet at all. Is it 1 angry person? 2? more? Most likely its a very small number of angry parents who's kid didn't make 1 of the teams trying to generalize things about the club out of resentment.
