i see no issue with paying for that when other clubs charge the same, and the perk is you play for barca. the training is very good.

Town teams dont charge anywhere close to what Barca charges. With all the extra money u save you can buy a whole bunch of Barca jerseys

town teams are much less money, but if the poster feels the town team provides comparable product that barca does, then stay with town team.

As far as training there is no difference. If you start on the C team and develop quickly in Barca's style of play you can move up to the B team or even the A team. For example, there is a player on the 2006 Pro team (A team) who started on the C team. He developed quickly and now is the best player on the A team. Don't listen to people who only have negative feedback without specifics. The training at Barca is far superior than anything else out there.

i know with the paid trainer, tourneys, uniforms and fees all tallied for 2008 B team in smithtown we were almost $2000 because they start at 1300 and keep adding... dont be fooled, town teams aren't that much cheaper if you have a paid trainer

The kid who scores 90% of the 2006 Pro Team's goals started on the C team?

I coach a town team. We have 17 players on team, we train 3x a week, did 4 tournaments, trained all year long too. We were under $1800 per player. That doesn't include uniforms or registration. Registration is $215
Would love to hear what barca charges.

thats a fair price. 3x a week is excellent. go back to town clubs folks...you're wasting your time at susa and barca...i

last year was $2000 plus reg fees for the league and uniforms ( approx $600 all in- the uni kit included 2 game kits, 1 practice kit, warm up suit, rain jacket and bag) ... not crazy compared to what we paid at SUSA

$2,200 for 3x a week superior training. Includes 2 tournaments, train from August to June. $200 registration and all the gear they provide is only $450.

When you factor your uniforms fees the price for your town team isn't much less than Barca. The difference is we have a UEFA licensed Coach and the training and development is second to none. Unlike other clubs Barca is not charging outrages prices as you may have thought.

WRONG! I know his parents and they aren't going anywhere. Now that is a fact!

I’m not sure if people are overlooking the fact that Barca having so many teams makes it difficult to move vertically in the club. Top teams in each age group have only so many roster spots available each year. With outside tryouts and players wanting to move up from within you can be bottlenecked on a bad team. I’m positive new talented kids “jump” the line

Writing this, I wonder where these open roster spots on their top team are created. Are players leaving or are players being sent down to lesser teams within the club?
