Even if she would play in ECNL or some other league, there are no quality options inother leagues either. Every club within striking distance on LI is eliminated. That is a sad state of affairs. Good luck to her very fine player.

Why can't any of these sanctioning organizations demand better for the players of LI?
It's kind of shocking that she left, I thought she was a lifer!!! Wish the kid all the best, sweet kid-great little player!

I am shocked as well. Little sister left to a different club. Really does say a lot about Fury. I hear such harsh things about the cutthroat parent group. I’m sure the family just had enough of all the BS and lack of quality coaching. Good luck to them.

Seems she did all right for herself there. Impression of Fury is that if you have adequate money and talent, you go there to make use of the available connections. Maybe is not the a club with great integrity or providing a great experience but not sure there are any of those around here. Seems to be effective for some for the players.

Where'd the younger one go? EM? She's pretty good too...

Fury worst parent environment. Some kid think they are all that as well. Not

So what does this say about Riley? Loses his college coach, his technical director, and his business admin. Lost ECNLand NPL. Lost his second DA. Continues to employ substandard no licensed coaches. Wants to charge for futsal to pay for his facility. Players leaving because families have had it with the lies. Letting players play HS during DA season, a clear infraction of rules. And who has he got committed? Sorry folks, the luster is off the turd.

That's not a good business plan. Your customers are ALL your players, not just a rare stud. Then if the studs leave? You're in serious trouble.

That is a grueling commute. Unless she chooses to attend a nearby prep school, I don’t understand the choice. She is already on the NT radar and is already committed. That commute time would be better served by working on her own instead of sitting in a car. Also, junior year is tough. This is just my opinion and is by no means a dis on the kid. She is a great little player and I wish her the best.

Some of those Fury players really need to eat a ***** sandwich from a new coach. Schmidt had his favorites and didn't matter if they were down 10-0, he kept running out there with his favorites rather than backing up his development BS. But pay him for futsal and you'll get 90 minutes.

What they have left is the players no one wants to be around.

Schmidt kind of sucks as a trainer and a coach. The only reason he was brought in was to try and lure the Massapequa players over to Fury instead of East Meadow, which is where the top Mass players usually ended up. Meanwhile, the top Mass players ended up at Susa, Schmidt's DA teams were an absolute embarrassment, EM partnered with Farmingdale and lifelong PR loyalists are fleeing.

about 1 hour drive. A lot but there are many who do it. Maybe she will practice only 2-3x per week up in purchase and do something else a day or so near home.

Players do it all the time. Do homework in the car. Players have to do what they think is best for them.

Wow. How crappy is LI soccer that players are forced into a 2 hour plus RT commute to avoid it.
