what a sad state this thread has become. the crabs in a basket mentality at its worst. a club where you could train more, not play HS but still be around like minded kids was a good thing. A guy who has a real track record of helping players is a good thing.
to potentially lose that is not something that should be gloated over.
as far as nycfc involvement, that should never have been a selling point. soccer development is the player, the environment and the coaching. nycfc never impacted any of that. if Claudio Reyna had provided coaches, or regular input, then i would understand your issues. neither he, nor the club ever did. They left all that to the locals. They told him to come and speak. they told him it was a one time thing and they are the ones he put his faith in.
its branding to them, nothing more. I think they stepped in to help a friend retain a foothold in 2 leagues. the implementation of the gda has not gone well in this region.

PDA is a good program, nothing negative there.
I think, though, overall you are thinking there is a bigger gap between the teams than there actually is.

when the ECNL had EoY event, man city ladies were involved. Did they come to Orangeburg and host a clinic?
