BS...they will ave realized they cannot field enough teams unless they allow it. This has NOTHING to do with talent

That’s the rumor. They will probably change all their rules so we can have a second ECNL like league. So stupid. But they are doing what’s best for the girls. Yeah right.

I don’t get it, if you want to play HS, join ecnl, if not play GDA. You can’t have it both ways, glad we are done with this crap soon.

I dont get it. What fool chooses a club because of the league? That is low on the list or it should be.

In europe it does where clubs own players. Developing players here means you are a feeder system to a bigger club and then have to retrain a kid to try to keep winning.

you are arguing over who..not if..

Better players in the US generate more money - scholarships for one. its just not at the level as it is in a pro academy system

Better players here do not generate money for their clubs and can often cost clubs money if they have to woo them with scholarships to play there. Better players here can not make their clubs more money (unless you can put a few together and attract more paying customers), but no clubs here get paid when they develop players. PERIOD!

It won't happen unless they create a 2nd league, which agreed is incredibly stupid. They can't even fill the league they have with enough good players. The move would make the look even weaker than they do now - acquiessing is never a good move. But the main issue is if they allow for girls they have to allow it for the boys. MLS clubs do not want BDA to allow HS. If MLS clubs drop out of BDA (as is rumored) then I can see USSF allowing HS in a desperate attempt to stay relevant.

you are actually talking out of your _ss. ncaa scolarships are not funded by us soccer (or us basketball, ect). they are funded by the individual school by various methods like tuition, endowments, donations ect.

its amazing all the false crap and fake news being posted.

Looked at the standings. The Furies did well last weekend against the other division.

Were they the fast and Furyious!!!

If MLS leaves BDA, then BDA will no longer be necessary and will fold.

MLS will still continue to run their academies and offer free to play opportunities for our nation's best players. BDA was instrumental in getting the academy system off the ground, but now with MLS (and a growing USL league) on more stable ground, the pro leagues can run it on their own. USSF will no longer have to administer the league, and will simply send scouts to pro academies to pick YNT invites.

Players with no pro-potential will be stuck in the pay-to-play system - currently administered by US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer. The end game being college scholarships.
