The likelihood that this kid (?) is the same age as the vast majority of HS juniors (16) is close to zero.

The majority of high level soccer players are a year older than regular students (my son didn't repeat, and was the youngest by 2 years on his prep school soccer team. It's not just internationals).

I have seen this boy since he arrived as a small 9th grader. He may not be 16, but he is no older than 18.
