This does pose a problem for the kids who tryout. Clubs all handle it differently. Some will be honest and tell the kids and parents where others will hide it to keep as many players in the pipeline as possible. We will see how this goes.
I understand that it would be disruptive to the current season to know their team is getting blown up. But tryouts are another story. Tryouts aren't for another few weeks, so hopefully Albertson has the decency to come clean by not assigning you to the "ECNL" team when they know full well there won't be one in that league.

1- Waiting until late April to announce Susa as a member club (the club and quite a few parents have known since Sept/Oct)
2- Burying the announcement with 2 other clubs as-"3 more member clubs 'All-In' for 2018/19 season" as opposed to "The Girls ECNL welcomes (club ABC) as a new member for the 2018/19 season"
I work in PR and can tell you, that's not a coincidence, ECNL was downplaying the Susa acceptance.

Waiting? There are more clubs to be announced as well as more “All In” clubs that will withdraw from DA. They have announced some clubs separate and some in groups, so your claim is ridiculous.
Bottom line is when clubs are removed from any league the official announcement does not come out until the league is completed. The club will be notified earlier in most cases and it is up to them how they wan to handle it. If Albertson is in ECNL next year then they should make an official announcement and post it. What would stop them from doing it? I think we all know.

Politics are definitely a part of this. ECNL is carefully controlling the messaging and Alby would collapse if it was formally announced right now. They do not want any messages about clubs leaving to be used as fodder for indicating that GDA was chosen.

Curious what this means for Boys ECNL on the Island. Does Albertson and Susa keep/get a Boys ECNL badge.

Vice versa at least in NE, no boy side doesn't have a girls ECNL side
That would imply that Albertsons loses boys and SUSA gains boys
