Nothing happened to their DA status at the older ages. They never had it and have never been promoted for expansion and most likely will never have it.

Exactly, they added Boys ECNL to try to keep their DA players, but many left to go to NYCFC, Red Bull etc. Too bad to, quite a few of those boys were very talented
