Valencia's home fields for training and games is getting an upgrade. LIU Post is getting division 1 status so they have to upgrade all their sports facilities. They already started working on the stadium renovations and when that's complete they should begin preliminary plans for the on-campus bubble. Im guessing it should be similar to what Hofstra did with their bubble when they had a football program. Post's first D1 season is slated for September 2019

Valencia CF Academy vs. FC Barcelona Academy - Pros & Cons

I think this statement is hilariously correct....still too early to tell if Barca girls program will be successful or not...I think this is only the 2nd season (maybe this is the first season but not sure).

Valencia CF Academy vs. FC Barcelona Academy - Pros & Cons
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostHey, that's not fair. Barca has the luxury of being a name brand, ask any kid who they would prefer to play for and 10 out of 10 times they will say Barca sight unseen. Even with the drawing power that Barca has Valencia has been able to put some very competitive teams on the field.

People really need to stop with the comparison between Barca and Valencia. The two clubs are already on totally different levels. If you and your kid are happy at Valencia, great! But please stop with comparisons to Barca. If you want to compare Valencia to another club, compare them to Boca Jun errrrrr Juventus. Because that's exactly what Valencia is, in fact they are really one in the same. Leigh Pilkington is behind both of these projects, as well as the failed FC Porto deal. Now, please tell me how an Englishman is coaching and teaching Argentinian style soccer one year and Spanish style soccer the next? At least the Barca technical staff and coaches are from Barcelona. Of course this can all be seen in the product that is being produced. Valencia has put together some decent teams with some good players, but play the same style soccer as every other club on LI, except they wear cool Valencia uniforms. Barca's teams are doing exceptionally well in just about every age group and play a noticeably different Barca/Spanish style soccer.
People comparing Valencia and Barca like they are on the same level is misleading, because they in fact are not. But hey, I hear they are very organized, so there's that.

Doesn’t Barca have former Susa coach, Joe Diliberti, working their sidelines? If my eyes don’t deceive me there are a few other Former LI trainers on the payroll. Those folks have some selective memory.
