They are supposed to play a minimum of 25 minutes. I times you"! Really lady??

There is a much stronger social component to town soccer that doesn't exist at the club level where kids come from all over - they don't seen each other in the school hallway, commiserate over the same teachers etc. Travel is where many younger players first get their start towards more "serious" soccer - knowing a few friends can entice a hesitant player to try it. And it's also where many decide to remain because they're not interested in more serious soccer - this isn't they type of player who is NT material or hoping for a D1 scholarship. Anyway, to me there was no need to break up teams, split grades etc. at that level all for the benefit of the very top players in this country.

My daughter hit it off with players from all different districts/locations because they all share this serious passion for soccer and have fun while playing. She actually is better friends with her soccer buddies. Likes her classmates but relates more to her teammates that share a real commitment and love of game. For her, the club players Provide more of a social connection than her town team did. All depends on player I guess.

1) Timing play to the minute - for an 8 year old? Wrong
2) Yelling at a coach in front of a team of 8 year olds? Very, very wrong
3) Just "talking" with a coach about PT immediately following game? Should be delayed for a private conversation when coach isn't distracted and parent is calm
4) Worrying about PT one game into the season? Over the top, by a mile
