The clubs hit the hot bed of US soccer. I think there will be a disparity of talented players geographically, meaning some will have better overall groups than others. That comes down to coaches and trainers. Thoughts.?

CA, TX, FL very solid and will become the top league easily. Other regions less so, leaving GDA and ECNL clubs to battle it out over talent. There's a few clubs in there, especially this last round, that are frankly pretty weak. They should have focused on a few key regions, proven their worth and then expanded. But USSF got too antsy to put ECNL out of business, so now they have to work with what they have

Which ones do you see as weak? One of the criteria to be a GDAP was to produce YNT/WNT players.

          Cedar Stars Academy

I am not sure what will come of this but I do know that they are building one heck of a facility down in Tinton Falls. I really can't say in the next year they will be able to compete with the already establish likes of a PDA or Match Fit Academy right now but I say in the next 3 or 4 years its going to be very interesting in what they can do and will do as a club.

South Hackensack , NJ – Cedar Stars Academy continues to make significant strides toward becoming the premier soccer destination for world-class, development opportunities. Thus far in 2016, Cedar Stars Academy has announced the addition of five branches throughout New York and New Jersey and the construction of the Capelli Sport Complex in Tinton Falls, N.J., which will include five outdoor turf fields, an indoor turf field, three basketball courts, a complete fitness center, and locker rooms.

Now, the youth soccer organization will be adding to its already impressive list by announcing its latest player development opportunity.

When the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy launches on-field play fall 2017, Cedar Stars Academy’s Monmouth County division will be one of the 74 announced original member clubs participating in the future elite player development initiative for girls.

Cedar Stars Academy’s Technical Director, Tab Ramos, focused on the significance of being accepted into the inaugural season of U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy and its impact on the club’s future.

“We are excited about joining the U.S. Soccer Development Academy on the girl’s side,” Ramos said. “We are looking forward to giving our girls the opportunity to learn and compete at the highest level.”

In 2017, The U.S. Soccer Girls Development Academy will offer U14/15, U16/17 and U18/U19 playing opportunities, which will provide players the opportunity to “play up”. Beginning with the inaugural season, the U16/U17 and U18/U19 teams will be tuition free at Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth.

According to U.S. Soccer's official announcement, acceptance into the U.S. Soccer Girls Development Academy was based on a number of categories, including, but not limited to, leadership structure, quality of coaches, club infrastructure, and the club’s past accomplishments on the individual and team level.

Founder and President of Cedar Stars Academy, George Altirs, expressed his bliss for the players following the announcement.

“This acceptance into the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy is great for our program and Cedar Stars Academy as a whole,” Altirs said. “We are thrilled to be providing all our players with the opportunities for world-class development through our involvement in the highest level of competition and the construction of the state-of-the-art Capelli Sport Complex, which will be the future home of Cedar Stars Academy - Monmouth.”

In preparation for the 2016-2017 season and looking forward to a promising 2017-2018 season in the U.S. Soccer Girls' Development Academy, Cedar Stars Academy – Monmouth will continue to hold open tryouts throughout the summer and into the start of the season. Specific tryouts dates for 2002-1999 birth years on the girl’s side will be announced in the coming weeks.
