Some stayed domestically. Can't go to MLS until the January MLS Super draft so they go play in USL.

Others go to Europe. Latest example was an Akron commit went to a low level La Liga team

Off the beaten path. LIU Brooklyn has locked out their faculty. I wonder if this will impact their athletic teams.

When your NT coach tells players they should be playing in Europe this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. DA is a dead end at 18-19. Your options are MLS (development? face it, MLS is very weak compared to many international leagues), college (development? often it's like HS soccer on steroids) or tying to have a go abroad where it's trial by fire?

In my opinion there's a better support system overseas. The youth teams continue into the U23. Here if you are a 21 year and you can't make the MLS first team there's very little option. Hopefully the MLS team has a USL team but not all teams have a USL team. If not there's really no second division

Contrast that with Europe where you can play on a U23 team or go to the second division in England, Germany or Italy and find good competition.
