Still, losing 14-0 isn't a GK problem. If they're in the top division they need to get moved down ASAP. If Surf wants to show they're good at developing players they need to be able to keep players in the first place
    Agree.

Need two goal keepers at this age.

14-0 does not fall on the back of the substitute GK though. There is something systematically wrong with the team. The entire team should take the blame for that loss.

Larry says Surf is operating at full steam. I'm not seeing it. No girls DOC. I can't figure out which age groups are in which leagues. I can't tell how many teams are in each age group and gender. Got soccer provides some information but not all. I don't remember seeing an administration annd staff directory telling me who is who and where the coaching staff's credentials/experience. I don't know where teams practice in case I want to observe and watch a practice to see if this is a team/club I'd consider for my kid. Surf tryout posts is not convincing me they are running full steam. It's telling me to wait a year or two and see what happens. It may just make me write them off all together. There are plenty of other clubs to choose from.

Wrong. Surf should take the blame for putting the team in a bracket above their ability. It isn't the kids' fault they were put into an impossible situation.

And a little bit on the parents foolish enough to believe the Surf hype. Surf has a great reputation in CA but we wouldn't leave a good situation for a brand new club it's first year in.
