    Larry on BOTN:

"As soon as the contractor bids are back, bonds have been secured, and then the Town can issue the permits BOTN will will make it point to show you everything and keep the community in the loop as construction progresses."

I don't know much about bonds but doesn't that mean SUSA will pay some of the rehab costs and the rest will be funded through taxpayer dollars? Is this where the SUSA dollars are going?

It sounds like the bonds haven't been secured. Is this rehab really going to happen?

There is a billionaire backing SUSA so I suspect it's just construction bonds.

              Wow. That's REAL MONEY !

Why in the world would somebody in that situation try to trick and lie to people to make another million off youth soccer.

Seems like the people challenging SUSA's decisions need to find an alternate reason for the owners to buy SUSA.

The guy who owns Cedar Stars is very interested in soccer.

Cedar Stars has 43 teams entered in EDP. After accounting for scholarships, that club should generate over 1.5 mil in club fees. Also the owner owns the clothing company that supplies the uniforms so he's getting back some as he gives.

                  Great story about him: http://www.socceramerica.com/article...outh-ball.html

Great story. Compared to the Schmucks who run soccer on Long Island, he's a breath of fresh air

I can see Cedar Stars getting a GDAP. Has a Boys DA already. Also connections to Reyna and Ramos. 40+ teams. Now in Staten Island and Brooklyn. Facilities in NJ and
I heard renovating facilities in SI and going to build new fields there.

I am not seeing how NY Surf can get a GDAP compared to Cedar Stars.

Cedar Stars have built it the right way from the ground up. They have done without a lot of fan fare. Larry you listening?

GDAP still needs a presence in five boroughs. Could Cedar Stars fill that gap?

I don't know if CS is planning on expanding any further, at least for this year. They have set up shop in 3 new areas this fall.

I'm not sure if it's needed in all 5. Queens folks can go to EM and Bronx folks can hike to WC. That leaves Manhattan. You're talking about a handful of girls doing GDAP and it doesn't start for another year. CS is planning on training 3-4 times a week (depending on age group) and 2x/week in winter. If SI does get the CS GDAP location, that's a lot of money in tolls.

My spouse seems to think soccer parents are crazy enough to pay $16 per Verazzano Br trip. I'm not so sure.

Glen Schneider of SUSA x-board member of Natures Bounty. Really nice guy, his daughter was trained by Moussa. Moussa found his golden egg. They broke ground on a massive sports complex in Central Islip across from the DUCKS stadium. The town of Islip gave them a good tax break. They originally were looking to build in Kings Park but the Town of Smithtown wouldn't give them the same incentives.

SUSA's BAD training Model== The issue with SUSA and scrambling to ramp up their teams is they DONT have any structure of how their trainers will work with their teams. Moussa and Chris is literally calling friends and asking them to be trainers. If the trainer gets hired its up the trainer on how to run their team. Usually trainers like the Cosmos or the Redbulls ALL follow a structured plan. The training is identical and proven. Not just some guy who played in college gathering the players together and doing it themselves. All the other clubs like the Redbulls its monitory all trainers meet weekly to go over training techniques and appropriate drills to teach the trainers age group they are working with. Its unfortunate that SUSA jumped into the sport and bought all these teams and have ZERO foundation.
